Don't laugh. I know you probably have a picture in your head of Chris T. and Chad standing around in Bikinis with a car wash sign. But, hear me out.
The club is really coming together. We've got a lot of people showing interest in joining up, we just hosted the largest all Mazda (and one Infiniti) cruise Oahu has seen, and things like T-shirts and vinyls now seem like child's play. My point is the ball is rolling and I really want to keep the momentum going.
The one thorn in my side is we still have no place to call home online. Not, that I don't appreciate the fact that the Mazda Forums agreed to host us. But, we still don't have a website and a place to host the sweet vids. that some of our members have made and the one's that Chris will make in the future. I've already purchased the URL www.m_spec.com. But, my efforts at web page construction were laughable to say the least.
So, me thinks it is time to get professional help. Someone to help build the webpage and a place to host it with enough storage space for vids. Unfortunately, such services cost money. Money we don't have. I refuse to have the club start charging dues. So, this means we need to be creative.
So, I started thinking of something we could do to make money for the club that would also involve cars and be something that we would enjoy doing. That's when the bikini car wash came to mind. What two things do car guys love the most? Well, obviously cars and pretty young women in bikinis. Anyone who's been to a car show could tell you that.
My suggestion is we set up a bikini car wash on some upcoming saturday. Then we promote like crazy. Put out the word on every car forum we can that local car guys frequent, word of mouth, hell tag nice cars with flyers for all I care. What do you guys think?
Problem is we need a couple of things beyond just soap, water, buckets, and rags. Namely, we need girls. Girls that a paying customer would actually want to see in less than everyday clothing. That's where all of you club pimps come in. The hardest part will be finding pretty young things that will actually find the idea of being objectified and are comfortable enough to prance around in a skimpy bathing suit while they wash cars for little to no profit. It won't be easy but I have faith in the charm of my fellow club members to think it won't be an impossibility. Hell, I can probably get us one girl with nice assets to participate. (No it won't be my wife. I wouldn't even survive the wrath that would ensue my asking her.)
The other biggie is a place to hold it. We'd need a facility with a large enough parking lot to capacitate a decent amount of cars and some source of water. It would obviously need to be private property so that our friends in blue can't roll in and demand that we leave. That said we would obviously need the approval of the owner of the facility.
Assuming that we could over come all of the forementioned hurdles I think this would be a damn good time and a hell of a money maker for the club. On top of the car wash itself we could make money selling soda and dogs off the grill and such. Maybe I'm totally off base here, but I think there would be a lot of intrest in a day where you could roll to some place, hang out with other car guys, eat some food, get your car washed by girls in bikinis all the while not be hassled by the police.
Ok, go ahead and deystroy my pipe deams with all of the realities that make this a near impossibility. lol. Or better yet, tell me what a great idea you think it would be and how much you can't wait to make it a reality.
