GI: I/C sprayer for around $80 + shipping... Maybe less..

This guy is willing to make a IC sprayer for our car using 20 oz paintball guns CO2 tanks which is removeable and cost only 3-4 dollars to fill. He also makes a custom hoop for either the SMIC as well as FMIC either way it will work. I just wanted to see if anyone is intrested.

here is his ebay post
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=2478605888&category=33742

As for the 0 feed back don't worry i'll get his number and his address before doing business with him... Also i would suggest if this was to work, u go through paypal with a credit card.

let me know who is intrested.

*edit remember this is a bolt on piece and can be removed easily before going to the dealer..

*Update 5/15/04
I took a look around for all the parts needed for this to get a good idea about how to do this... well it turns out that the 20oz tank along cost around 25-40 dollars... unless he already has a 20oz tank, no way in hell will he keep it under 40 dollars...
*Update 5/16/04

im interested, just have one question. is this going to be button activated? or once we open the valve on the bottle it starts spraying thing? Is there a way to make it button activated? if not where are you guys going to mount the bottle?

From his setup i think its a valve that opens the bottle but a botton activated sprayer is easy... all it would be is a paintball internals and it would allow for the device and additonal hose woud like $5 since all paintball cans are the same size. If i was going to mount it, i'd say in the glove compartment

This is a nice cheap way to do this, but I have a word of caution as a big paintball player (at least before the baby was born). CO2 canisters do not like sitting in a hot car all day long. They will pop the pressure disc at the top and you will find your glove box filled with dry ice! So, if you don't store it in there, you'll be fine. . .or if it isn't full. But I learned from experience that a full CO2 tank sitting in the trunk will "explode" on a nice warm day.

so in other words, if you are not using it. TAKE IT OUT of the car. thanks for the warning. do you think there is a way to put one of the nitrous blow down tubes on the co2 tank so if it did pop, you could force it out of the car?

noclue119 - so basically you are saying that i could get the mechanism from a paint ball gun. that way i can open the tank, but it wont "fire" the CO2 until i activate the mechanism?

thanks for the help. luckily there is a paint ball gun shop about 5 minutes from my work that does refills and everthing.

Would putting the bottles underneath the seats help at all? Or maybe in some insulating wrap?

yep at least similar to it i don't know much mod u have to do... the other way i would say is replace his valve with a push button/electronic control. that would work too

also remeber ur not shootin this like nos...u do it before u run or whatever to cool the ic then turn it off......its a cool setup....the only thing would be havin to take care of the tank.....becareful of o-ring blows too..i hated that when i used to play paint ball

o rings are like 20 cent apiece and u can prevent it as long as u empty the tank before u unscrew it

thanks coclue119, what about the remote openers for nitrous bottles. that would probably work to. maybe right before you stage open the bottle for a few seconds then close it.

i had issues with it breakin even if i never removed it...and if it goes it will leak out....its not the cost i was warning about :)
