Trust me guys you WILL it fuel cut, I did @ 8psi, you might get away with it at stock psi but I doubt it......
GAspeedprotege- Yes with the valve I have now it is LOUD!!

I didnt think fuel cut would be an issue because it happens at the MAF and the intercooler is after the MAF.

Vassago- Ummm sir, boost happens after the maf also.... If you cool the air it makes it denser in which more air would still go into the maf and cause the fuel cut.

i just sprayed my ic down for 7 secs with co2 as a test thing and it did not hit fuel cut in any gear i'm running stock right now... And besdies u need to have a fcd if u plan on running at 8 psi anwyas...

Who says you need a fcd running more 8 psi?? Maybe in the winter time, but not with temps how they are right now.

all i said was u should be, implying winter... but his choice... i was just saying u don't hit fcd by spraying ur ic

From paintball experience. . .I would recommend a sliding check valve if you want to keep it simple. I had one on a paintball remote setup of mine. Basically pushing it forward opened it up letting CO2 out and pulling it back shut off the CO2 and vented the excess pressure (after the valve). It would work pretty slick.

As stated about o-rings, yeah, they're a pain, but with the check valve (one would really be good between the bottle and switch anyway), you can unscrew the bolt that is pushing down on the tank pin, thus preventing more "flow", open the check valve so there is no pressure in the and then unscrew the tank. If you don't relieve the pressure, you will blow o-rings - not every time, but WAY too often.

I still love this idea for its simplicity. I just hope the blown CO2 tank I've experienced, doesn't happen to anyone else. . .

ok i talked to the guy/girl and he/she said since they were not really expecting all these people to see it, he is trying to decide how he wants ot handle this... and he/she will let me know when they decide.. Be paitent. i think it will be worth the wait

ok this all sounds great but is this spray bar plastic or metal tubing in the picture it shows both if its plastic im not putting that in front of a $1400 fmic that I show, if its metal and looks good i'll get it, plus cant you buy a nitrous solenoid and hook it up to a switch so when you hit the button it opens and it sprays.

You could buy a bottle of air duster and turn it upside down and spray your intercooler also.....:) I've tried it and it made a difference at the track. You can get quite a few runs in before the freezing spray runs out of the air duster bottle. Costs about the same as filling up one of those bottles. And you don't need to do anything else......Thats if you don't have some kind of in cabin switch. I am going to use this till someone figures out a way to shoot it from inside the car. If not its kinda pointless to me. I can keep using my airduster can upside down until then.

Did you notice a performance difference?

Interesting post due to the fact that my speed is stock and I'm boosting .85 bar and not hitting fuel cut.

Maybe I just know how to tune the car

I'm interested in a kit like this, but I do have a concern. At work we use a lot of CO2 (one job can take upwards of 100 tons of liquified CO2). One of the things we have to worry about is where we are on the phase envelope. As long as the pressure's high, you don't need to be at a cold temp to liquify CO2. If you release the pressure too quickly (ie. vent to atmosphere), you will skip the gas phase and go to solid dry ice. With all the pressure behind that ice plug, it pasically turns into a gun which could have huge consequences for the IC.

Is there some safety device there to prevent this from happening (similar to an expansion chamber on a paintball gun)?
