well if were gonna nitpick....i dont know about anyone else but my vibrant muffler sits right on the rear lip. it hasnt melted it or anything but itll rattle from time to time. and ohyea, i already bent back the sheet metal piece thats underneath there.

My Vibrant sat perfect before I modified it, it still sits nice but it sticks out about an extra 2 flanges worth of depth. The resonator is larger than 2.5 for sure.

Any pics of how the Vibrant sits from either the rear or the side view?

first picture is before I took the cat off

second is with out cat/ e-cutout added

you can kinda see it comes out a little further in the second, but the distance from the lip stayed at about .5"

edit: Oh and BTW the Type S thing was just a joke, we pealed it off a POS at my buddies dealership and threw it on for s**** and giggles, I did rock it for awhile for fun though.

MSP608 Very nice, thank you sir. V.I.C. before this thread I would have but now I think I am going with the Vibrant. Good luck on your sale though.

You know that the vibrant doesnt include what he is offering. (dunno) It is pretty much a catback system. You could actually use his GHL downpipe with the vibrant system.

haha how is it a catback? it kinda starts right after the s pipe, replaces 2 cats with one high flow, and replaces the resonator...and how would you work what he has for sale in with the vibrant? thatd be a hassle and way too much money spent.

indeed, however the ghls resonator is only 2.5" so its kinda a bottleneck, i didnt check the vibrant one. i have a bunch of pics of the GHL if anyone wants one. i guess we can nitpick about them all ahaha

I personally will not be going with a resonator so for me it will be 3in all the way. he he

The Vibrant goes from the S pipe back so I plan on getting a S pipe from corksport to go with it. To use the GHL with the Vibrant I would need a shop to do some cutting and welding which is way more time and money than I want to put into it. Although it would be very nice to have a 3" S pipe to go with the rest of the 3 " exhaust, to bad nobody sells one that is a bolt on.

Yep that is no problem I ran into. wanted the performance and sound. Thats why I got the GHL tb exhaust system. Dont regret it a bit. I get lots of compliments on the sound. I love it.

This I didnt know. I have been thinking about having it removed and that may be my deciding factor. Thanks for the info.
