getting new wheels...

anyone know if 7.5 will be too wide on the mp3? i was looking at some 18x7.5 wheels with 225/35/18 tires.

It depends on the offset of the wheel. With 18s, you will have to get a wheel with atleast a +45 or +48 offset. Anything lower and you will rub your fenders, guaranteed. Check out this thread:

the one i was looking at has an offset of +45. so i shouldnt go over a tire width of 205 or 215?

It will be close, but 215 should go ok. Someone else on the forum must have tried this size before on a 7.5" wide wheel.

I bet 225s would fit on a sedan with rolled fenders.. 215 on a 7.5" wide wheel probably looks as funny as 205 on my 7" wide

I have 205 on my 17x7 and they look fine.

They only look fine because the Ecsta MX (I had them in 215/40-17 and they looked great) has no rim edge protector.. my potenzas have a big rim guard so it makes it look like the tires are stretched onto the wheels.
