Getting Beat By Civic Si!??!??!?!??!

casopolis-
you know they make these things called zip-ties?
and this tool called a zip-tie tensioner?

they will seal the VAC lines a lot better, and look a hell of a lot better.

Can't knock a well sorted Civic Si...160hp out of 1.6l naturally aspirated.
While I like the MSP...170hp out of 2.0 with forced induction sounds weak in comparison.

Spare me the Honda vs Mazda/torque vs horsepower/modified vs stock arguments. It was just an observation.

Hey Brian... you still having the problems? We need to hook up so I can drive your car and see what's up. Oh... tell your bro to race me. ;)

that is Rich's car (505zoom)
I went serching to find our friend here a picture.... this is not from my car. Just check the link I posted.

I am designing a vac manifold for my car because those Y fittings look like hell no matter how you put them on.

Check the design on a brand name Eagle, they make vacuum blocks that you plug a line into, mount it then it has several ports coming off it to what ever you want to do, the are really clean and you can get them in several colors (andonized(?sp?)) I know they have silver black red and blue, i have seen the blue one on my friends blue speed, they look really good, maybe if you can fab one yourself let me know and I'll probably get one from you, if you want to see a pic of it installed let me know and i'll hit my friend up for a picture.

MAM makes one too. I wish I would have gotten that one. I have the Golden Eagle manifold and I don't like it.

I am mech. eng. and have one designed in CAD.... really easy to fab out of SS or alum. Might not look as good as anodized but its strong, looks better than fittings, and makes tapping into vac lines easier. I think fabrication will be cheap... I will get a local quote. It would have 1/4 NPTF ports and would use 1/4 NPT to tube fittings from McMaster. I would also add a threaded hole on the back to screw it into a bracket which would mount somewhere on the intake mani.

Those Civic Si's seem to take well to mods. One of my friends has a 2003 Si with an aftermarket turbo setp. The engine is capable of over 250hp on stock internals.

zzMSP03.5 if u wanna beat him get an exhuast, gettin rid of the cats or replacing both with one high flow cat will help u keep up and beat the SI for sure. imo u might still be a lil faster then the SI but ur bro could be a better driver, but with the exhuast ull beat him. how are u racing him ? from a dig or a roll ? try to race him from a roll goin 30mph 2nd gear,go WOT(wide opend throttle) as soon as you start racing and shift close to redline u should keep up with him for sure .
we were racing from a roll at about 45 and dropped into 2nd WOT, but i fixed the problem there was a definite leak, robbing me of boost and im sure im driving it right i know how to drive, pull it all the way out to redline and last time he pulled in 4th but not sure whats gonna happen now... i gotta get him again and see what happens... ill be outta town for two days going to ocean probably roll with something on the way down so i will test her out and see how she holds up... but as it goes now, much better.. vaccum leak bogged down engine when boost should have kicked, now all better... just need turbo back and i should be decent... what do you recommend exhaust wise... i have looked into exhaust alot... and turboback is just expensive but i have seen the same or better performance with a system build of different parts

Good to hear about getting your leak taken care of. Let us know how the car fairs now.
I recommend Vibrant Performance s-pipe back, great quality, looks good, sounds great, good gains. Its 2.5" for the first 6-8" where the J and S-pipe mate, then it flares out to 3" through a high flow cat and out the canister to a 4" slash cut tip that follows the bumper line real nicely. Best mod to date. Its in the middle of the price range and the quality is top notch. Just my opinion and I looked at exhausts for a long time as well. But check out what everybody recommends and let me know if you want to see some video and sound clips of the Vibrant exhaust.

i don't think you will find two many headers that will help you with performance since you have a turbo bolted to your exhaust manifold, but now maybe if you look into something like the mental addiction motorsports tubular manifold, it might help! check out www.protegegarage.com cause ken has some great deals on exhaust systems.
