coming out of the turbo... with a t-valve

more then likely that's your problem if your T'ing it off the wastegate line. Take off the t for the boost gauge and just put a straight connector on there and see if your car is faster then.

ok, thats what i was thinking... if so.. how should i hook up this boost gauge or should i just leave the b**** off???

just put it on a different line, but if it runs better then you know that was the culprit. If you search on the site you'll find a bunch info on vac lines and boost gauge installs.

Wash your car... it makes air pass over your car smoother and easier with less drag so you go faster.
(rofl) that was funny

CEL = Check Engine Light. No offense intended, but if your going to race and s***, then you should really learn a little about your car or cars in general. This forumn will help you learn alot, but not everything. Pushing your car hard without understanding how things work, it's limits, and possible consequences can end up being very expensive and/or disasterous.

But to address your other question...
You should be beating Civic SIs. Your car should not be making 10 lbs of boost. If it is, then you should be stomping on these Civics, but your motor will probably pop really soon if you continue to do this without supporting mods and engine management. Stock boost should not be over 7 psi. On most stock msp's bosst is like 5.5 psi. The boost guage could be innacurate depending on what type it is and where the vacuum source was tapped. If I were you I would try to get someone to help you who knows a little about diagnosing turbo cars or at least newer cars in general.

What level of vacuum are you reading at idle? It should be somewhere really close to 20. If less or if the vacuum at idle will not stay steady, then you most likely have a leak somewhere.

good luck...

silly question, but at what RPM were you shifting? could explain a couple things...

you should tee of either your brake booster line or the vacuum line off your intake manifold, either one will do.

and mine is the 03.5 so it should have been flashed right??? i called the dealer ship and they said all 03.5's had been flashed
Mazda did not flash any cars. It was left up to the dealerships to flash the cars. Some did the flash most didn't. Did you buy this car new or used? If used somone has added a boost controller or messed with the wastegate.

yeah thats why i have been doing alot of reading on here and learning more about everything i can i know enough to the point where im not stupid and gonna blow this thing up i have pretty much come to the conclusion that there is a vaccum leak in the hose for the wastegate, i know that my gauge is off after reading others problems, it is reading 10 when idle so there is def. a leak there i am going to replace the hose today and rerun the boost gauge somewhere else, i understand what things are just not what things stand for, ill get this its just gonna take me a bit

bought the car new, it was the last one on the showroom floor new years eve 03, no boost controller has been added i think we hooked the boost gauge to the wastegate and thats effecting it, going to test it tonight

If I am not mistaken an si with boltons can dyno as high as 140ish..yes? I've seen a few speeds dyno in the low 140's. Its not that unbelievable. But then again, if youre gauge is correct 10psi even on a bad day you should have snapped that si off. Since I pulled my mbc a few months back she's felt slow as s***. Our speeds must have been kitted and assembled on a monday or tuesday or something. But for sure, relocate that T and go from there.
