yeah i feel you man, and im in SC where its a little lower than most states.
but filling up (1/2) like every 2-4 days sucks

Well if your cel is on, your car is in safe mode performance and MPG are decreased.

I don't know about your MPG but I have no cel on and get consistantly 220-250 miles per tank!! that's like 16 MPG!!
I have a s*** turbo, and think that's the issue.

I know when I had a bad 02 sensor I did notice that my mileage seemed bad although I only drove about 1/3 of a tank before it got replaced but over all I had i think 280 for that tank....

I always fill up that the same spot on the gauge which is prolly 20 miles or so before the E light comes on and it always takes 11.5 gallons. With my Injen CAI I get 370 a tank if I am easy on her. the best I have ever gotten was 410 from full to e light and the worst was like 210.

I filled up a full tank. 12 gallons. I already wit the 1/4 with like 65 miles. I only got like 20 when it hit F. I dunno what it is....or maybe im just expecting too much?

check your oil/change your oil

that could be your problem, thats what mine was, except i didnt have a CEL

Sinced i installed the CS exhaust ive been getting bad gas mileage too. It think its because my 02 sensor is not connected. Im saving up to getting a new one. And my cel light is on.

I can't believe the mileage some of you are getting! I change my oil every 2500 miles, brand new air filter, plugs are about 2 months old and I only get about 220 miles to a tank (I figure it to be about 17 - 18 mpg). Been that way since I bought the car. If I take it on a long trip I get around 25 mpg, but everyday driving, s*** for mileage.

All I know is this... The important factors are clean air filter, oil changed at the right intervals, Tire pressure, blah blah blah..... However if you have a CEL more so for an o2 sensor, I would point all blame to that... I dont care if someone proved that the CEL had 100% nothing to do with the bad mileage I will still blame it on that... The main reason I have kept this car instead of getting a CX7/MS3 is the fact that my gas mileage rocks compared to those car....and I like that handling feel better but anyways.... get the mil elimenator or something, if your basic maint is up to par, you gotta get rid of the CEL and elim that 02...

Just like HondanoMore said, I can't believe the mileage some of you are getting!
I am suprised too, just in the opposite fashion.... 17-18 avg? thats effin lame... Its like having the gas mileage of a freaking Corvette but being horribly slow in comparison

I am getting 31 mpg...I was getting bad gas milage before I changed out my 02 sensor....I would get a CEL for a couple of days then it would go out....and then come back....Finally I checked the code. bad 02 sensor. Got mine from oxygengeek.com($78 direct fit)

wow.. 17-18 mpg?! uh..... something totally must be wrong with ur car and my guess is that its running pig ass rich.. even though msp already run pig rich stock theres no way that your milage should be that low.. i mean i have quite a good time with my car (quite often catch my self speeding or in boost) and i still get around 27-29 mpg in town driving and on the highway doing 120km/h i get aruond 38-40. Probably should get that checked out

$78 is a damn good price for an o2 sensor that plugs in. I cant remember what I paid for mine through a dealer but it was alot more than that
