Many of my cars don't require something that aggressive. What are you working on?

Maybe I'm confused, but you cleaned the engine bay, not the exterior. Your own car is that bad you need to use this product?

Yes, I cleaned the engine bay and washed the car afterwards. It was all the time I had when working on it that day. It's my daily driver and haven't had a full weekend to do the entire detail. My car is +6.5 years old and has never been "detailed". There are swirls, scratches and minor dents from years of daily driving.

I'll reassess the correction after I wash and clay it. I'm still looking forward to how this combo will fair against other products I have.

105 isnt THAT aggressive. ive been using it on my rx7 just to mess around and practice polishing. Working on audi clear, or vette clear i wouldnt leave home without 105 or SIP

it removes 2k wetsand marks with ease, but i really need to step up to a rotary to get the best results.

M105 is a bit more aggressive(12 cut factor) than other meguiar compounds and its designed to be used with a wool pad and rotary buffer for optimal results to remove 1200 sanding marks and then to be followed up with the M205 and a softer pad on fresh paint. But many are using on older paint with great results. Use it with a polishing pad versus a cutting pad if the paint has issues not related to sanding marks. Follow it up with M205 or M80 and a foam pad then hit the paint with M21 or M26 and you'll be done! Or use whatever you have and like to get some polishing oils into the freshly opened up paint.

There's a new formula that can be used with DA polishers.

105 is great. breaks down nicely, and i think cuts better than Menz powergloss.

I think you have things a little backwards. PG is much stronger than SIP as is 105. And as for new 105 not being THAT agressive, you must be doing something wrong. It is one of the strongest available. And you don't need a rotary to use it well because it has non-diminishing abrasives. It takes a skilled hand to do it, but I can achieve awesome results with a PC in less time than a circular with a non-diminishing abrasive product, on hard clears....that are very marred. With Menz products you should use a rotary in order to get them to break down. A PC with Menz is just pointless. However I think Menz, and a lot of companies are coming back out with non-diminishing abrasive product. The reason being that new ceramic nano particulate clears are so hard. Non-Dim products have a higher learning curve however and you can mess up paint with either a circular or orbital. Honestly just not that needed in my day to day. But with more companies going to harder clears, who knows.

105 is a very oily product and since it is Non-Dim it can be a PITA you attempt to work it like normal. And seriosly, gnd, and others that are new to this kind of work I would be vey careful when using a non-dim polish, with either a rotary or orbital.
