what's up everyone, i'm hoping there are many people looking to buy FMIC's, if there are, i need their help. Scionspeed is a shop that builds (yes you guessed it) turbo scions (hardcore cars, trust me, there are usually 3-10 of them acros the street depending on what night of the week it is). they're a cool group of people and i happen to know the owner of the shop. he happens to like MSP's and is willing to build us a FMIC kit. i can take into consideration the interests of those here on the forum to really deliver a product that suits everyone well.

the gist of this thread is, i need to find approximately 20 people that would potentially be interested in picking up a new FMIC and then we can start talking about price and what not.

i'm NOT asking anyone to sign a contract soul or anything, just to say that if a FMIC were to come out in their price range that was well suited for the MSP, would be a "no cutting necessary" piece. would they buy it? also feedback is appreciated.

if you're not interested please don't flame or say "oh there are too many FMIC's" or anything, just don't post, if you're interested and have feedback feel free to go straight ahead.

I'd be interested if pricing is right, I only have one coincern. Would it fit with any aftermarket intake.

since i have an injen, and they'd be working with my car, it will for sure fit with the injen or others that follow the same piping pattern as the injen.

only 17 left to go hehe, i won't make a list because that's too formal and this is just a "gauging interest" thread

not worth your time to try to market it IMO. every says they are interested, but no one will buy it.

I would say that I'm def in, except, need to know the flow capacity, pipe routing, bov/bpv options, i/c dimensions, and a rough idea of which one of the already offered it might look like. I personally like the perrin's aggresive look(some might argue that it sacrifices safety though), but to me the look is second to none.

so what benefit would a fmic made by these guys have over the many fmics available on the market by people who have been making them for our cars for a while now and know all the ins and outs when it comes to protege tuning EX: MAM, HiBoost, BEGI etc aside from possibly cheaper pricing? how would the shop compensate for the cheaper pricing, by charging less for the work they do or by including cheaper parts that may not perform as well?

the sole advantage would be everyone here's feedback.

there would only be a limited run of these, say about 20, so prices wouldn't have to be so high to ensure that they will make money on the product, since they are making a definate amount of money from making X amount of them. also lower price doens't always mean sheaper work or parts, it could just mean that these guys love what they do and don't need to make as much profit from it. the price might not even be very much lower and the kit may include everythign the other kits do and be just as well made, but they will still be designed around the feedback of everyone here. and i'll have had a decently significant roll in the MSP comunity which is enough to make me feel important. (headbang)

plus it'd be kinda cool to have a limited production piece made for a limited production car.

well it was worth a try. it woulda been cool to help them build a custom piece while using my car too but oh well.. thanks anyway guys.

It's nice when another vendor comes into YOUR thread and tells you not to do it.....dude, you do whatever you want. Produce it, sell it. Have fun. (hippy)
