Is that coating baked on or something? It looks like it's chipped away from the water pump housing. I would just be worried it would chip and get in the cooling and oil systems.

The colors look pretty sweet though.

*Signature Sound*here is a breakdown of what goes into each bracket and external part bolted to the motor. about 8 batches worth thru the oven with misc small parts and still not done...

how a typical part begins without any coating on it

first the prep with an angle air sander to get rid of unwanted roughness and to smooth it all out

then degreased, sand blasted and chemically washed, then heat dried in oven to drive out all remaining contaminants

then chrome base color is applied and black chrome clear is put on over that

motor mount

t-stat housing and pipes (pipes were done in satin black)

hiding the CKP wire

knock sensor for J&S mounted. Helicoiled to fit 8mm x 1.25 thread.

oil feed tee adapter installed & turbo mounted and ready to go in.

next the motor was placed in the bay to mock it up to see what holes can be welded shut.
