Ok i think i hit fuel cut for the first time ever, this happened shortly after i installed a CAI. i thought it was maybe cause i left traction control on or somthing but it was doing it even after i caught traction?? fell like hesitaion and poping noise and the car lost power for a moment. i turned the traction control off an it never did it again for the rest of the day. If this was indeed my first fuel or boost cut experience what can be done to help avoid it?? was it thr throttlebody closing on me or was it actually a fuel cut??? please tell me what i should do. thanks
BTW my mods are DP, no cats, CAI and TX ABC set to 16-17 psi.

Is it cutting at about 4.5 RPMs??

You know, this happened ONCE to my car while coming up on the highway at WOT, and then it puffed a bit of black smoke, and recovered fully. I imagine it was a hiccup!

BTW, I'm fully stock except for a replacement FRAM air filter (no money for the upgrades yet) and a cut up stock box for a teensy bit more airflow.

That FCD does remove the safety factor built into the car as the boost comes up while upgrading, doesn't it, Ken?

wich cia did you get , your getting fuel cut becuase your getting boost spike becuase the maf housing on your cia is not the same as stock. cp-e's maf houseing is similar to stock to prevent this. I have the mazdaspeed and i get bad boost spike but with the stadback it eliminates the boost spike all the time and fuel cut most of the time

I got it a lot when I had my set up with my 3.5" TMIC. I started getting it a lot when winter came around and as it gets colder you'll get more hesitation because of the cold air. On a nice warm/hot day I had no issues whatsoever.
