alright man two questions 1. cutting out the air ducts stops the diversion of air directed onto the intercooler which can't be good for heatsoak and the intercooler running correctly. That's why the air ducts are there right? 2. will our stuck hosing and connections work with the new position of of the BPV on the cold pipe?? I'm going to be installing a Synapse BPV running Recirc and it looks like its on the wrong side of the pipe and harder to access with the tubing??? Thanks

1. according to Truboost (former owner of my MS3) AIT (air intake temperatures) through the intercooler were only 7 degrees warmer then a FMIC..it doesn't totally stop the diversion of air to the intercooler at higher speeds it's not like all of your ambient air will be leaking out it's gonna be rushing in so quick that it will make little difference if that one spot is cut out...that is correct that is why the air duct is there...but just take a closer look at the part that is cut out it's so little compared to the rest of the air duct that is there

2. i ran my forge bpv recirculated and didn't have any problem dumping the charged air back into the MS CAI...

take a closer look

quoting truboost on heatsoak between a fmic and the TRZ TMIC

..."yes while moving a TMIC and FMIC work damn near the same. i actually have shared datalogs with other members (including banned member LALOOSH) with FMIC's that see much higher boost temps thsan me. LALOOSH sees 120-130 while cruising most of the time with a CP-E FMIC. i see 95-100 degrees while cruising in the same outside temp. ..."

so you're actually not cutting out the ducts up at all?? just the front a bit to make the cold pipe fit better? In other words you're not messing with the air ducts at all???

my bad i didn't want to make it seem like the front air ducts like in the grill were messed with...the only thing that you need to do to install this is just cut that little section right above the cold pipe (drinks)

damn now do I get this or the synapse BPV aaaarrggghhhh So this is going to give me more power and efficiency right?! I need to make a decision here

"ok, i'll scan the WinPEP sheets in the morning, but here is a brief rundown. We dynoed at the normal place (Speedquest Inc in Waukegan, IL) we have always dynoed it at. As we add parts I highlight such in italics;

Car and Modifications:
2007 Mazdaspeed3
- Protege Garage Testpipe #1
- Protege Garage Turbo Manifold #1
- Factory Catback Exhaust
- Factory Intercooler
- Mazdaspeed Cold Air Intake

Dyno Results 235whp

2007 Mazdaspeed3
- Reworked Turbo #1
- Corksport Downpipe
- Protege Garage Testpipe #1
- Protege Garage Turbo Manifold #1
- Factory Catback Exhaust
- Factory Intercooler
- Mazdaspeed Cold Air Intake

Dyno Results 275 whp

- Reworked Turbo #1
- Corksport Downpipe
- Protege Garage Testpipe #1
- Protege Garage Turbo Manifold #1
- Factory Catback Exhaust
- Mazdaspeed Cold Air Intake
- TRZ Intercooler #1

Dyno Results 295whp and 316tq
Air Fuel Ratio of 10.58:1 at full boost

No boost controller was used to increase boost, no CO2 was used for any pull. The car gained 20whp and 23tq over the stock intercooler. ECU is stock with no reflash, no piggyback, no Accessport, etc....."

a bov that will make a noise for you or a TMIC that gives you 20 WHP 23TQ

that should be a no-brainer (alright)

pm'd and that Synapse BPV holds up to 3psi over stock due to stock leakage! We've seen amazing results with that Damn Synapse!

i personally like the sound of the FORGE bpv...i am going to be buying another one in the near future just that i had to take care of a speeding ticket so i had to let my FORGE bpv gooo

yes i just pmed u back let me know what you think...i am going to step away from the computer for alittle bit
