I, unlike many onthis forum, cannot afford to drop 5k on a rebuilt motor, nor will my mom or dad buy me a new one.
Yes, I have held the S pipe in my hands, this past weekend as a matter of fact. No, I have not had mine of my car, but a basic knowledge of flow characteristics, and just LOOKI(NG at the damn thing tells me that it creates MAD turbulance for the exhaust, and the severity of the bends slows flow down quite much.
I, myelf, am caustious when building my CARS I like to do mine right the first time, and not have to spend extra money. You can relate yourself to a "race car driver" all you want. The point is simple, you bolted on some mods, cranked the boost, tried running iwth supras, and crapped the motor.
I ran 9 psi daily, before I sold my Boost controller, and knew what gears that was safe in, what it was not, when I had more then me in the car, to adjust my boost levels to compensate for the added weight. ECT ECT.
I learn from people on this forum, and take that knowledge, apply it to my work, and improve on it.
Again, please refrain from trying to compare yourself from someone like Mario Andretti or Ligenfelter, as your a guy with a Mazdaspeed Protege, just like me, not some super tuner, with a 1000 WHP supra, lookin to hit 200 mph at the salt flats.
You seem to have major issues. The battle royal that you are waging IMO is really dumb. Big deal, you haven't popped your motor, good for you. In your post you said that you sold your MBC and went stock again. That isn't really backing up your credibility as being a person who understands tuning. No offence, it sounds like you chickened out. You make fun of people having their mothers replace their motors. That was really funny. I wish my mom would have bought me a ton of s***, but she did not. Some people's parents are rich some aren't. That's hardly a mature way to reply to anyone.
Sorry man, whatever. Later
