FREE MPI help!

Hmm... my setup is a little different because there was only a input fitting on the extra fuel rail (no output). I just T'd into the same line that Tim is talking about, and ran one line to the extra rail, and another line to the stock rail. I don't really see one way of doing it being any better than the other (straight through vs T'd), so really just do whatever the design of the rail calls for. I will dig up some pics of my setup just in case my description wasn't clear.

I had mine T'd off too. The pressure alone should be enough to sustain the fuel flow in the extra injector rail. Tim's method has merrit as it looks like the flow just goes straight thru.

My first rail setup was like this but it got messed up when it was removed from the pipes that were made wrong for me. So I got another setup from Nick and he uses a straight through setup now because it is supposed to be a little better with the pressure to the injectors. Running the older way will not hinder you, he just said the pressure seems to be a bit better this way.

Hey, while on topic, i bought a dual aux setup, do you have a wiring diagram or somesort of install instructions? Thanks

Anyone have a copy, I had it on my old computer not this one, thanks guys

The instruction are back on post #94 I think. Anyway, run the negative wire from the incetors to the gray w/black of the MPI. Then the positive of the injectors go to a 12v source. I have mine going to the stock subs power wire at the battery, behind the fuse. Make sure you use a fuse though.

Can someone take a look at this Iam getting some hiccup i can not get rid of around 5500 to 5900rpms. Thanks guys .

First of all, you are too lean up there dude. You need to add fuel or risk the dreaded boom! So I asume you are talking about the little spot where it looks like you hit a wall for a split second and go super lean? Can you describe it a little what's happening? I would say start off by adding at least 5 and work you way up until you get the AFR's in the 12 range before you continue to troubleshoot. You are way to lean IMO. So if you can, describe a little more detail please.(thumb)

Well look at the whole thing It shows 84% throttle Thats wrong . It alos is off on a/f It shows 18s 14s and such Iam not at that a/f . The highest i see is sometimes 12.9 weather dependent. The thing i for the past week has been what felt like to much fuel again. I went out Sat and did some runs . All of them were almost the same . I would punch it in 3rd everything fine until around 5400 or so bam buck go to 6500rpm then switch into 4th pulls fine hit 5400 or so again same thing buck. I tried adding a few numbers and taking a few didnt really do nothing i didnt add a wqhole lot maybe a number or 2 becuase last time i was rich i took out 1 or 2 and it was fine . 1st thru 2 nd pulls fine and the first part of 3rd is fine just at around 5400 or so .

Turn the key on with the engine off. Go online with the MPI and push the gas to the floor like your trying to go through the floor board. Look at the blue deflection value in the lower right under the RPM and not what it is. Then goto the Scale Settings/Deflection menu and plug that number in as the max. Mine was around 87.x so I put in 88% as my max.

For the minimum value, same setup, just stay off the gas and note what the number is. Put that in the minimum, that way you have the entore TPS range. The trick with the min. is to have JUST HIGH ENOUGH so that the least little touch of the pedal, kicks it to the 2nd column so you can NEVER climb in the 1st column. You may have to raise it a little to het that.

But to your point, do the max test and see what that does. So what does the AFR on the WBO2 look like before and after the buck?

When it happens wb kind goes crazy It happens really fast . So i couldnt tell yea but once its over it pretty much 12.1 12.2 . Oh something else i idle in the second column so what you told me to do should take care of the idle being in the first box right .

Yes, you do not have the full resolution. I would do what I said before and max sure you get the absolute maximum deflection value and plug it in the max. And its also key to not be able to climb in the idle column, so play with the minimum until you get it.

You can idle in the 2nd column, Nick had to do that on one of his he did, but so far I have had no problems with it being in the 1st column. I like it because I get the full resolution of the map, well, minus the 1st column if you think about it. Hopefully this will help because it sounds like what wicked has, but he doesn't post if he does what we asked all the time so I don't know. After you fix that, maybe we can move on, but you are not maxing the MAF voltage out, so you should be good there.

Oh, if you run your car in the 7k range like the log says, you should adjust your RPM range so you can tune fuel up there too. Personally going up there is a waste of time and too much risk. Power drops off way before 7k, more like 5600 RPM or so.
