Actualy misinterpetations have been argued thoughout time over the bible.

Take the virgin marry for example. Today there ar several major Biblical scolars that say the translation was messed up in that "Virgin" means never having had sex in english, but the actualy hebrew word ment only "Young Women"

Kind of a major screw up on that one .

More on note, the King James version of the bible is totally messed up; If you read the Torah, the original 5 book segments of the bible, it's very basic, and down to earth:

Treat your fellow man with respect, love thy father, and so on, et-cetera.

The King James "interperitations" ammended several useless books, bringing it up to 25 total books, I beleive the final count was, forcasting plauge, famine, and hellish recount for those who sinned and whatnot.

But I only took one comparitive religion class, so I'm not exactly an expert. =) I don't have any day to day knowledge of religion, as I was brought up with no pretense of religion, really.

But I reiterate; Fred Phelps must have his ass handed to him. =P
