Wow, all the hate in here. I actually like vb4 much better than vb3. I don't know about a learning curve... It took me all of about 20 min to figure everything out. And once some of the new features go live it will be even better. I think it looks more modern than vb3 by a long shot. It's sleeker and more visually appealing to me as well. Much less color distraction vs. the old look. There were like 20 shades of blue on the old forum, this one has about 6 key colors (and I'm pretty sure this is the default color scheme). As for the speed issues, I'm sure that's mostly to do with the behind the scenes maintenance that's going on.
People just hate change (hence the negativity), once you get used to it you'll appreciate how much better it is.

I doubt we will. Never had them before, why start now? Although, I'd like a monochrome skin.

At minimum a light/dark skin...supposedly with V4 it is super easy to add on, so why not...

You either made posts or you didn't. Unless you have changed even more sections of the forum to more "non-counting" posts and retrod back from prior postsade in that section. I mean this has happened twice since I have been here for nearly 8 years. I don't post as much as I used to , but damn it seems odd for your post count to go backwards even though you still post. I bet if we counted all posts on the forum I have, it would likely add up to about 30K if I had to guess. Just not seeing the point of continually jacking around with peoples post counts. I was nearly at 10K and was working my way there very slowly and in my eyes it would have been a great acheivement, but now I lost nearly 1000 posts all in one fell swoop.
Very disappointing to some of us.

the colors dont contrast eachother for my eyes, its very hard to read..
Most people generally don't like change. Since there's really nothing that can be done about it, there's not much of a reason to b**** imo. Did I like the old version better? I guess. Will this one grow on me? of course.
ONE thing that MAY need to be addressed is the fact that this board now resembles the 'other board'. The previous version had a far different look so I think that helped differentiate a bit. I'm all about branding and am loyal to this board... so I'd like to see a few things done to 'brighten up' the joint.
Last but not least... years ago we were able to easily post pictures in posts (without having to put in the stupid hyperlink crap) it was literally as easy as selecting the picture we wanted and boom... it was done. Why that's no longer possible is beyond me. Sure would be nice to have it back though.

look at the photo quality differance when you link to here. *this photo is very very high quality, then when uploaded its grainy as ****
ever since the change all linked photos are like this. i just submited my MOTM entry and have no chance really because of this upgrade killing linked photos...

Umm yeah, OR, I could change the settings to allow higher res photo uploads. What I the resolution of the original, and how big is that file? Also, how many coffees did you have before posting, you know all that caffeine is not good for you.

Don't take this wrong, but I highly doubt the photo quality is going to be the reason for a loss...

im sure you knew what i meant, and im sorry i cant spend as much on my car as others. im a 19 year old college student in my 2nd year, but thanks for your concern.

If the photo quality if, then EVERYONES quality will be off??? Nobody has an advantage...and two years ago I was also a 19 year old college sophomore that played football, coached wrestling, and worked...I doubt we are that much different, and that is the same time I got my car...I only work 15 hours a week man, but I worked very hard for everything I have done, don't even try to play that card...I don't spend much of anything on this car...

my entry has been the only entry since the forum update, and the photo quality dropped a lot after the update.
and dont come at me saying my car doesnt have much, expecting me to not say i have college loans. thats sort of ass backwards really, and no need to try to flex your E-peen, i dont care what your circumstances were.
im happy with the way my car looks, just PO'd at the horrible photo quality that the forum gives since the update.
