Forged Wategate Question

I need a new wastegate because my factory one has gone. I do not want to go with the factory replacement kit since it is double the forged wategate but I am reading mixed reviews on the forged. Is it worth the savings in money to go with the forged or will I just have issued with performance compared to the factory?

Don't do it it's a pos, I had mine for 6 months and it started leaking from the diaphragm.

Get a replacement GT25 wastegate from ATPturbo.com, it is the best stock replacement as well as the cheapest. The Forge wastegate is not forged, that's the name of the company that makes them. I have had one for over 2 years now and it doesn't leak but it spikes and does not hold very consistent boost.

(freak) are you talking about the wastegate "actuator" on the turbo or the black bypass valve on the intake piping?

Does anybody run boost higher than stock on an ATP wga? I just bought one and was wondering if I could increase boost.

The ATP wastegate already runs 9psi which is 2-3 more than stock. Use an electronic boost controller to adjust boost pressure.

I think im in a similar situation with my wastegate actuator. I had a problem with the stock one so i bought a stock wastegate actuator from protege garage and had it installed. for some reason my car now boosts at 9 psi and hits fuel cut after about one second at this psi. if i install a billet wastegate actuator will this fix my problem without a boost controller?

No don't waste your time and money on the Forge WGA. Fuel cut is from the stock tune, get a piggyback like an SSAFC to correct it.

I'm running the ATP for the past 3yrs at 25+/-4psi or so with a manual boost controller no problems at all. Still holds steady at 9psi without the boost controller.
