hey guys im about to oder an intake then new bpv is next the forge is really inexpensive and has good reviews but is it loud? i want fairly noticeable if not really noticeable any comments appreciated

I installed the Forge yesterday. The "mario brothers coin box" sound is accurate.....and with an MS CAI....its substantially louder (higher pitch sound) than stock.
I haven't really noticed much in terms of a performance gain......although I wasn't able to get on it much...... its been raining here all day so I don't get traction in 2nd or much of 3rd. As a matter of fact....it almost seems like I lost a little low end torque.....not sure if anyone else has noticed that? I'm using the blue spring with 1 shim.

why do most of videos seem to be missing this ping sound but others have it?
Agreed....that is the exact sound.......its hard to get a good sense of that sound from other clips.....but thats it!

that is exactly the sound i'm getting as well. i think i've figured it out.
if you use no shims, you wont get the sound. the noise (i think) comes from the shim hitting the inside of the bpv.

I just intstalled mine today with blue spring and one shim like others have done. What does boost surge sound like? It's not blowing off at slight throttle movements anymore like stock, but Im just worried that I'll mess something up if I don't know what to look out for.

i'd also like a little more in depth description of flutter and surge. i have a test pipe, CAI and forge bpv. i used the blue spring + 1 shim. everything runs fine so far but i don't know if i should try it with 2 shims or not...
honestly I couldn't tell much difference with just blue or blue + 1 shim...I don't think it's gonna make a huge difference and I think either way you'll be fine. If anything, just the blue spring will give you the least amount of fluttler. I get a little flutter at low rpms...but that's to be expected. surge would happen at max boost and is bad...ive never heard it but i imagine would sound something like this
