Forge BPV Installed

Well you can scratch that 0300 code. But it came back. So now its time to look for leaks and replace the spark plugs...??? Wtf man...
Do not buy plugs yet. I am in the middle of some things with the car I will get back next week with this. If I forget pm me after the holiday weekend. Look for leaks, do you have any buddies that could put a gauge on your lines? But check all connections and wait till it cools all the way down. and T clamps are better for maintaining their grip under pressure.

what do you mean...the car is also telling me that I am burning to rich during idle. I don't know what else to do??? this is really bothering me. I do not know what else to do. There are no leaks what so ever... What else should I check. CP-E is tell me to check my o2 sensors. But if they were bad the car would tell me not tell me that I am burning rich during idle. The dealer already replaced the MAF...what the **** else should I check...???

How do you know you are not having boost or vacuum issues sir?

Is there any where else I should check. I have checked all lines from the inlet out and from the throttle body out. Where else could I have leak? And by the way I cleaned the plugs on saturday along with the replacement of the MAF and still throwing these codes with the slight sputter during idle.

girls, geez

whats that supposed to mean!!!! lol :p

anyway if anyone's interested... my turbosmart

I'm probably gonna get some yellow bulbs soon. I thought about taking the yellow film off but I really like the way it looks so it's gonna stay :)

Here's a question.

Has anyone else swapped out their stock hose clamps with the old-school radiator style clamps (screwable type)?

I noticed there is a change in sound.
I'm guessing the stock hose clamps leak and don't provide a secure fitting.

I suppose you are speaking of the recirculation tube? What does the car do when all the diverted air does not make it back. Does this cause misfires? or a lean or rich condition? thanks

I'm talking about both hose connections. Not sure what they do, but one has a big diameter (radiator hose size) and the other is pretty itty bitty (vacuum hose small).

I used screwable type hose clamps for both hoses instead of the stock hose clamps, because the stock hose clamps would clamp, but you could still easily remove the hoses by tugging on them, which tell me that they would leak under pressure.

Now that I use the screwable hose clamps, they don't move, thus a change of sound. IDK, maybe its just me. I'll try to video and post it, hopefully the audio turns out.

Maybe I'm the only dumb one that didn't think about changing the clamps to something that secured better??

I replaced the big ones that go to and from IC when I replaced stock valve.,plus the recirculation tube, the larger one you speak of. Upgrading clamps is not a bad idea and Tclamps for boost tubes is a must imo.

I just installed this BPV today. I went with the blue + 2. I love it. I think it sounds great and the boost definitely seems to hold longer and more consistent in all gears.

I normally reset the ECU after every mod but I didn't this time for the initial test drive. I'm hoping the performance is the same or better after the reset.

I dont like to reset the ecu on any car, then you loose all your stereo adjustments :( I'm sure the car runsa just as good without resetting it
