Check it out, incase you haven't heard, Ford is going to make the new version of the GT-40. It is supposed to have 500 horse, be under $150,000 and be really cool.

I think that the GT-40 will have a supercharged V8. Possibly a 351 cube motor.

I actually saw the car....it was at the auto show here....it is awsome....

hell I fell in love with the original when it came out....VERY nice rides....

my uncle has that problem with his 65 Shelby GT350, he speeds all the time in it (not 165 thought, but fast enough) and its NOT street legal (set up for vintage racing) cops usually pull him over to just check out the car and let him go. nothing like take corners at 100 mph in a almost 40 year old race car on the on the streets on venise. luckily it was at night so not that many people are on the roads. and i know people are going to be saying its stupid and dangerous. yes it was, but my uncle is very skilled, and has countless amount of track time and knows how to handle the car. still dangerous, just not as dangerous....

and just to stay on thread. I would give my left AND my right nut for that car. I dont need them anyways im married.

Ya.. the quotes have started to go out for most of the GT40 work.. Ford will not be doing a lot of the work in house.. I know the body is all aluminum and is in the process of being quoted.. the body portion for the robots and stuff will cost around 15 million

ya she keeps them in a jar above the sink. she lets me have them when ever i go out with the guys though.
