For those that have had the motor mount or trans mount fail....

I am just wondering if there were any tell tale signs of this occurring? Any strange noises or bumps?
Lately my car has been making a rattling noise when accelerating from stand still or sometimes when changing gears. Just wondering what it could be and thought it was possibly one of the mounts failing.

I find it comical that everyone is so quick to replace these mounts yet nobody can speak to a failure? Come on........

I had very "soft" starts for a somewhile. Then I decided to inspect my rear motor mount and I saw it were broken - bushing was hardly ripped and damaged. I ordered SU one and so far so good.

they are liquid filled, check for leakage, i would imagine excessive vibes and trouble shifting would be in there as well, since the engine will be out of alignment

Thanks guys. I am getting a rattling noise when shifting, especially the first 10 or so shifts from a cold start. I just don't want to demod to take into the dealer if I don't have to you know?

Does the rattle noise happen when clutch being engaged/disengaged? Dual mass flywheel can wear out and cause odd noises

It happens when the car starts to move while the clutch is being disengaged.
