How many times have you data logged and loaded new files? When do you know you are done. I am done with my mods and have data logged and recieved new files but how do you know when you're done tuning?

depends on the client; so folks get 4-5 revisions then are happy with the gains, some folks send data every week for us to check out

Bump, is nobody on the forum remoting their 2's? With the groupbuy completing it would be nice to see reviews, tips, or experiences to help all the new flashers along.

Currently on file 4 not including the base file, throttle responce sorted out, cam timing making the car pull lower all the way to the raised limiter, the driveability of the car is completely different to the stock car, so much more responsive and quicker off the mark and through the revs, with the 15" wheels on ( i use them on the track ) its like a "go kart" the 17" i run daily take the edge off it slightly but its still faster accell than standard from the 74bhp to the 88.5bhp last time on the rollers, had two more files since then should be up near the 100 by now....

There's no way you're going from 75 -> 100 bhp from a remap.. But I don't doubt the difference in drivability is huge.
I'm on the group buy and just waiting for the software and my first file so I'll definitely chime in once I start the tune Chance77.

n8myton,

I didn't say i went from 74bhp to 100bhp with the remap, if you look at the mods then you will see how the difference comes about...

Print out from the rollers after the hardware mods before the remap changes.....

The UK base 1.3 model is restricted by 10bhp compared to the Tamura or higher models by not letting the throttle open fully....

A standard off the shelf re-flash from a local dealer give julie's Tamura 84bhp a lift of 10-12bhp (according to there sales stuff) so in theory release the 10bhp that mazda have locked, get the 10-12bhp from the re-flash then Joe at Dynotronics can work his magic with the be-spoke tune to give the car its zoom zoom.....

Thanks, need help

After my base file i started getting a misfire on all cylinders and running lean bank one, i can not get the program to load the pids correctly on a windows 8 acer. I have went through the instructions numerous times, but everything saves as .csv and i am told that my logs are missing much data because of pids being incorrect. I also need someone to verify i can return to stock as im being advised against it," never go backwards"
Im not saying anything bad, as it seems to be my fault that i cant load a simple program correctly, but the misfire has my vehicle near undrivable, and my 100 mile commute feels unsafe, also losy 8mi a gallon off last 7 gallons, no WOTS, easy driving cause of misfires. I already have checked vacuum lines, my MAF is seated properly with no play, and see no fractures, the only mod i haveade in last 20000 miles, has been the tune, previously, no misfiring, no lights, no running issues.

you should be able to revert back to the previous file with no problems ? I've been back to my base file to let a friend drive the car then loaded in the latest one, did a few miles to let the STFT & LTFT settle back down the let him have another go in it, he couldn't believe the difference from stock, iam sure Joe or one of the engineers will give you a lift if you give them a shout ?

The statements i made, was what i was told by Joe. Thats why im asking this community for direction, im also inquiring about back to stock, as my base file/ first file is when the lean and misfires began.

.UPDATE Joe has reached out, its windows 8 causing me issues logging, he will be remoting in to give assistance on the issue so i can get him a proper data log.

in the first place, you do not have a stock file to go back to, as we have not sent you one. I do not suggest you EVER back up, as it can cause some very large issues later down the road. Most times this has had to do with simple confusion about where the data came from and which file is loaded at any given time

second, we cannot confirm anything, as the data you have sent is missing about 95% of the information we need. seems to be an issue with the Windows 8 laptop version you are using. I will fix it this afternoon when I remote your car.

Now, the issue you are having is DIRECTLY related to the CAI your running. Why did it not show up before? Simple really; the base files are set very flat, and retarded so we can correct the load to 100% perfect. It is the very first step that has to be done BEFORE we can even start to adjust anything else. And when we set the Load compensations flat, and flatten out the requested fuel, any thing that has been changed in the air stack/path, will come out and show it face. in your case its the in correct flow design of the CAI.

in other words, the factory calibration was masking the fact your load was hugely off. We will correct this first, then proceed with the adjustment of your other tables. it generally is not a big issue, but with the issue of your data not being useful since its lacking the info we need, it has been a bit compounded

Hope thgis answers some of your questions. i loo forward to fixing you log issues remotely this afternoon

Joe, i appreciate the help, and i was under the understanding, that that was why we save a copy of our stock rom ourselves? My main concern is causing any damage running lean with the misfires. I have my fingers crossed that the new settings take on this win 8 crap computer.
Thanks again Joe.

My pleasure! I will send you a stock copy of the file if you like. What you did before is a dump file, that can't be reloaded( its encrypted)

Win 8/8.1 is dope, but if you start with a crap computer or infect the hell out of it then you're going to have bad times. My logging started on a 10 year old Dell running a PentiumM and XP, then I switched to a Surface Pro 2 running 8.1. The Surface was able to record data 5x faster than the Dell giving Joe much denser data to tune by. Not all laptops are created equal, and what you have done to them DOES make a huge difference.

No porn, daughters computer, was used for schoolwork. Im unsure if its 8 or 8.1, but the program itself dont seem to be jiving with it, correct pids not showing, even after Joe remoted in. He was able to set it up, where he could collect the needed data, but even he said something odd is going on with laptop.

Used for schoolwork means nothing. One wrong click and you have enough infections to make ebola seem like the common cold - and you can't even tell they're there. As my profession I deal with this every day and even 'just schoolwork' is as dangerous as walking through Detroit at 2am with a suit made out of $100 bills. Something as simple as searching Google for flash player update can get you in massive trouble, and no anti-virus on the market is catching these programs because they're not actual viruses.
