Ford now has the Svt Focus with the 170 HP engine. Isnt this the same Zetec block as our MP3 or P5's???
Is it possible to modify our mazdas with the same guts and exhaust?

No...

The have variable lift for their vavles on the intake side and not too sure about the exhaust side. Ztech engine isn't the same as our block at all they are two different motors all together....

Not to be an ass here, but the parts you're speaking of are actually on the head and not the block. The intake manifold, cams, valves, etc are all connected to the head, the block on the Focus could be the same for all I know. The Ford Zetec motor found in the regular Focus is different, but the motor in the SVT could be very similar since the SVT uses the same intake manifold as our MP3's and P5's (dual stage intake runners).

the block in the regular focus and the SVT are the same. the only difference is the head. which has the VTC on the intake cam. and yes the dul stage runners (Like Apexistud said). but the blocks are the same.

The blocks are the same between the various versions of the Focus, but not between the Protege and the Focus...

I don't know for sure if the blocks are the same, but I doubt it since the Ford designed motor in the Focus was based off of what was in the Escort. Which, has a completely different motor than the Protege.
