FMIC kit vs. Turbo-back exhaust

:
2005 Premium White Pearl RSX Type-S
Wish I could afford both but can only get one. Please give me some help, which one should I get. (keeping in mind that I would go with the hi-boost kit so I would be getting a BOV as well) Thanks!

Well you more concerned with gains or with show? I know the ION turboback claims 22 whp gains or something like that...the FMIC I think is like 12-15, but you get the big gangsta grin on your car, plus the nice sounding bov...

If it were me I'd go with the FMIC, just because I'm still undecided on whether or not I want an exhaust...I've always had them on my cars, but always got annoyed by the droning sound also...

im in the same boat, i was goint to go with the hi-boost kit or custom turbo-back with apex n1 muffler. I think i am going to go with the exhaust, i'll get the front mount at the end of summer.

Freeing up restriction on a turbo car should be your 1st priority for performance gains! The Exhaust is what I would get.

It makes more sense to get the FMIC now, rather than at the end of summer.

I would go with the intercooler before the exhaust, oh wait I already did :)

with all the damn heat coming up soon and the wonderfull heat soak of the bad stock intercooler I would recommend a FMIC.

i say exhaust, but each person will do their own thing. they both need to be done, so as long as they eventually do get done what comes first isn't a big deal

Exhaust makes more sense to me to do first (shrug)

And as for the hiboost kit, I have it sitting right here and I don't think it's flanged for the HKS SSQ as Juan said before at all so an easy bov swap may not be so easy.

edit: just noticed you had an intake, you will get more benifits out of the intake with the exhaust. Each on their own isn't as effective as they are together. Make it flow together!

if depends on your average out side temp and your driving habits.
if you drive a lot if the heat like I do then get the intercooler, but if you don't then get the exhaust.

I'm on the fence like you are but I decided that since I live in Florida and it's already 95 degrees outside with humidity around 70% (and it's not even July yet) I'd be better off with the FMIC. And like INGREXCO said, you live in Canada so you'd probably be better off with the exhaust.

Is it always cold in Canda

Tomorrow its going to be 85 degrees Fahrenheit, in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. Get the front mount, it just looks so pimpin, and exhausts get annoying.

By the way Calgary will be winning the Stanley Cup tomorrow, so Lightning fans be afraid (upyours)

chillinmcmillan - In Ont, it gets quite hot & humid in the summer. So if you plan on crankin' the boost, get the FMIC first.

Go Flames Go! :D It's going to be Flames over Lightning in Game 6 baby! :D
