is the CP Racing strut bar a 3-point? Wouldn't that put him in Prepared?

i swear i remember reading somewhere where the 3pt strut bar puts you our of Street Prepared. Not necessarily Prepared, but perhaps Street Modified.

I forgot about the CP FSB being mounted to the firewall. As long as it isn't attached to the firewall it's legal in SP. If you are really serious about setting the car up for SP then I would sell it and get a standard bar. no sense in having to run in a ludicrous class just because of something so minor.

Yea...got to love the SCCA rules. I'm still running my stock FSB, but I'm looking to upgrade next year. I have a friend that can weld titanium so I might do a custom one.

Why would you want titanium? Titanium is one of the more "springy" metals.... It's really strong and light, but has a lot of give to it... Go with aluminum... light, and VERY stiff....

aluminum is not that great on something like that...it undergoes perm deformation easily and also can break under very little stress.
