floor mats

haven't seen any, i'm thinkin of taking mine to the guy who does leather seats and car tops, i bey he could stitch it in for me??

Mine say Protege... only because someone jacked the "mazda" mats out of my car befor I bought it. I want the mazdaspeed mats though.. +20 HP

yeah, my question about the canadian floor mats...

do the ones that say Protege5 on them not have a reinforced heel mat (rubber in teh middle) like the crappy ones that I got with my car?
the car isn't quite a year old and the mats are all worn in the middle.

maybe we could have someone in Canada try to get a group buy for us, just like they did with the rear seat cupholders.

No reinforcement. My car was bought end of April. You can see my heel marks and the clutch mark as well.

same here, came a few months after having the car. I should have put the clear mats over it...

I just figured I would get a set of Mazdaspeed mats or get a set of MOMOs for show purposes... kinda bad though that Mazda didn't figure on people actually driving the cars they sold them :(

I just purchased some black winter floor mats from Wal-Mart for cheap. They are 1/4" deep and look great. Definitely will save my good carpet ones from the harsh Ohio winters where salt is so abundant.

it was under 2 months and mine were worn through. Cheap ass floormats. (argh)

That's why I didn't bother. I didn't even get them when I bought my car (dealer didn't throw them in free because I used the S-plan).

So I just put a thick winter mat from walmart like DrAsperigus and it works great. Traps sand and stone during summer as well! :)

Where could I buy some aluminum racing floor mats for a decent price?

are you talking about the diamond plate mats??
if so, i have some that i use for show only
i got them from NOPI.com they were a little expensive imo
but NOPI was the only place that could guarantee that they could make them all other places were like mom and pop/generic internet sites that said that they may or may not be able to make them
2 of the places said a month to make and ship...so i knew NOPI was the surest thing so i just got them from there
they were $160 shipped i got them in 3 days

Do the diamond plate ones just look like someone cut the metal sheet to fit or do they actually look show worthy? Edging or anything around the edges? Never seen them just wondering.

I have an old set of Taz heavy rubber mats in there now. Just doesn't look as nice.

Yeah, but I think there's a problem if you look at the mats more than anything else while driving :D
