Fishdonotbounce's 2008.5 CWP Speed3 GT "Build" Thread

Toyotas do last forever, but rebuilding them shouldn't...

Daaaaaamn.....funny shiznit today. keep up the good work guys, you've made my day.

ok so back on track to Ivans car and not dumb s*** about an unfinished truck or bad plug wires...

i saw this done on a PA car and LOVED it, i think it would be a badass/clean touch for the front end of your car now that you have that black DG lip on... but thats just my 2cents

oh and the lower part of the bumper is what that one kid suggested on m3f

That grill is awesome. Not sure about the bottom part, it's not bad or good but I think I would have to see it in person.

I'm a fan of the lower part. Not on white though. Might look OK with the DG lip?

Thanks for posting that Levi. I personally don't like either the top or the bottom. I like the color matched emblem but not the black grille piece. Saved me the time of photoshopping haha.

could look better with a lip, without a lip it just looks a little unfinished IMO

well boo to you then :P

Maybe it would look better if the lower part of the grille opening/top of bumper cover was also painted black. Not a fan of the lower part myself.

Got my JBR short shift plate in the mail. Jamie obviously takes pride in his company and products. This is the second product that I've received from JBR and they have not failed to impress. Below is a picture of the contents of the mailer.

My stock setup with Cobb counterweight:

The JBR installed:

The whole process took all of 10 minutes including removing the intake and installing the new shift plate. I took it out for a quick drive and the results are great. The throw is crisp and quick. There is a very noticeable reduction of time between gears. I am very impressed with the product and would easily recommend it to anyone. Thanks Jamie.

Do you have a STS as well or just the plate?

Damn, I would think it would be too short with both. I think mine is perfect with just the sure shortcut/bushings/knob.

Same here, that's why I haven't gone with the TWM short shifter yet.

Ivan, next time I see you I'll have to check out your shifter to see if it's too short for me.

I have 2 JBarone products as well...shifter plate and rear sway. Both products are extremely high quality and I definitely recommend them. I might be getting his rear camber arms and some of his motor/tranny mounts soon.

I have a set of new black camber arms from JBR for sale if you are interested! Also a used 80 duro PMM :)

According to my quick research, my wheels weigh 18.35 lbs each. Pretty damn light for 18x8. They're no Weds or super expensive JDM wheels but they're only 0.35 lbs heavier than the RPF1's in the same size. They felt extremely light before I mounted the tires and I always wondered how much they actually weighed. I'm pretty happy with that.
