Hello! Just brought home a Vivid Yellow 2003 PR5 earlier today. Just fantastic! Last time I owned a Mazda was my 'ol reliable and peppy 323! Drove that car for 259,000 miles before parting ways. I hope the PR5 will be provide the same (or greater) experience.

Just wonderin' what is the average age of my fellow PR5'ers posting in this group? I'm no young'un anymore, just delaying the inevitable a bit (thus the PR5 purchase). :D I've read the posts in here and they are very informative. I don't mod my cars (just keeping it simple) but I find the mod talks here very interesting.

heh we have people of all ages...most are proly in their 20s...but there are some old ones...i mean some people of a higher age.... :) ..... i dunno

Hi Olzoomer , Dan from Canada here . When I buy my P5 in the spring I will be 43 . I think it is a great car . Keep us posted on what you think of the P5 as you rack up the miles . I still have lots of questions before I buy one . These people in this forum are really helpful and give very good advice. Don't be a stranger

Thanks! I kinda feel young(er) driving the yellow sub! :) Y'all right though. The car gets a lot of looks around town and on the freeway.

BTW, gotta get it right... Is it P5 or PR5? Just wonderin'. :)

Nice rig JBean.

Got me thinking though. That 100W amp option that some 2003 PR5s have... Is it any good? There were none on the dealer where I bought my PR5 so I never found out how it sounded.

The factory sound is ok. But I think I need a bit more umph though. :) At least more bass. Recommend any? I need the space in the back so those woofers in the back are a bit too much. :)

I am 43 the newest car I drive is 37 years old. I have a 66 Bug and a 65 Bus. I bought the P5 (Replaced a 95 Acura Integra only 2 doors) for my wife who is 41 to haul the kids in. We did not want a SUV or a mini van. Besides we have the first mini van a VW Bus.

Hello 'olzoomer and 65, Welcome to our happy little corner of the net, and to our Club. There are TWO BIG fridge'S in the corner with anything you can think of in them...help yourself...of course only take what you can LEGALLY have. (stash)

make yourself at home on one of the big fluffy couches, kick your shoes off, put your feet up on one of the tables, yes we are allowed to do that, mom don't care....and take it easy.

oh...btw....every once in a while a food fight breaks out...so you may not want to wear nice clothes here.

Welcome!! (stash)

I am in both of your ballparks.....I be 45. and I too have a Yellow P5.

To answer your question.....EITHER P5 or PR5 is correct....just don't refer to it as a MP5....as that is in fact a H&K assult rifle. :{D (I made a boo boo.....we old guys do that from time to time...so I fixed it!)

and to 65.....Love YOUR choice of cars....I too am a OLD VW nut at heart as well.

Ah, you crazy texans!!!!!
God, I thought Hoosiers were gun nuts. I own a handgun, but it's a simple 9mm for defense and long trips.

You're insane!!!!!:):):)
