the last pic is what im concerned about...the FMIC isnt hooked up yet so the position of that hose could change in relation to the pipe from the turbo im not sure...but i may have to get a longer hose and run it around the back of the pipe? not too sure as i said in another thread i still need to make a little more room on the left for the FMIC fitting.

Matt i am going to do my turbo intsall soon and i was wondering what was if any were the biggest problems u had with the install. Looking for anything to make the install easier on my part.

I'd get a longer hose don't want it rubbing.

lets see...biggest problem so far was the oil pressure sensor...the hole on your block is metric and all the fittings you will find locally are standard, which i got to work, but with some trouble, and even still im thinking it might leak and cause me to redo that part.

you can avoid this by pmming little beavis and asking him where to get the T fitting in metric...if you have the same problems i did, you willl waste at least 2 hours ******* with it. i could almost be done if i had another 2 hours that i hadnt wasted.

other than that, nothing. ive had no problems thus far, just very time consuming...

only other thing i will say, if you get the same size FMIC as me, it IS POSSIBLE to mount the b**** behind your bumper support..if you take off your support it can be dangerous and your bumper will sag...all you need to do is measure a head of time and redrill if necessary to mount the brackets, and relocate the power steering loop (i think thats what it is) by disconnecting the vertical cross member in front of the radiator, and pushing the loop behind it and remounting the cross member...

let me know if you have any other questions...im by no means an expert but i can tell you what ive gone through at least.

Man, I thought Matt was going to bust today doing this install. With my limited vocabulary(LOL) and a little persuasion we got some things ironed out.

Its the same, all you have to do is move it to the bottom.

no dude my radio thing isnt the same...i tried to just put a guage in the pocket and it wouldnt work...is this mount a whole new radio mount?

How is your radio different when you both have P5s?

Hey Ghost, how did you mount that dead pedal? I want to see if I can get the one from the MSM, but I have no idea how I'd mount it.

the radio mount for aftermarket radios...his radio sits all the way to the bottom where mine is not in the center but closer to the center meaning i have less room for guages...unless his radio mount IS the guage cluster, in other words you get a whole new unit.

^^
no one is welding, he's trimming the bumper :)

looks good so far. don't worry about the hang ups, its ALWAYS something. looks like i have to kick jamie's ass if he doesn't buy the evo now.
