First Modification Recommendation wanted

Get a boost gauge/a motor mount/ and an intake/shifcter bushings. All that will still be less than a FMIC.
 
Motor mount didn't do jack for wheel hop for me, but it did really help shifter accuracy.

Motor mount and CAI.
 
Seriously though, boost gauge is a must for a first mod so you can monitor your boost levels before you start throwing stuff in the car.

No seriously, Personally I'm poor so I did the cheapest mod to get the most bang for your dollar and that's a INTAKE....I don't think ANYONE would disagree with me.!!

I was thinking a Downpipe and Race pipe, (if after this it is still smog legal)

What do you mean by Intake? a cold air intake like those from K&N?

or is that something else?

You can go with either a COLD AIR INTAKE, or a SHORT RAM INTAKE your choice.
 
or a corksport ram air intake with their FMIC!!!

corksport gets no love with their intake design... :-\
 
well for jsut an intake yeah, but if ur fmic shopping, its easily the best deal out, since its about the same price as every other fmic kit with the addition of intake and inlet pipe...
 
I think those people that talk about hydrolock would say crap about the cs fmic because the intake filter is where the tmic use to be. So that way water would go up in there when it is raining? I like the setup but since I already got the whole intake system I would just go with the cpe kit
 
and iv been behind semis on the thruway. powerwashed the s*** outta the front end, and taken on huge puddles... no water whatsoever in the ducting... and the water will evaporate if it even comes close to even the turbo...

the reason people dont want the TMIC is because of ENGINE SOAK... water will not even come close to this setup, you seriously not to be submerged fully under water and giving it full throttle so that the tubes are completely full in order for our cars to hydrolock
 
a new intake is a must for this car. If you remove your stock airbox you will realize how restricted it is. For a car like this i really do not know what the engineers were thinking. There is one tiny little hole that all the air for our turbo must come through.

I just put the CP-e nano on and i couldnt be happier
 
yeah it was a good mod, i easily gained over 100 hp from it, im putting down easily 380whp with just the fmic mod
