Quick question, will the stock MS6 turbo fit a 05-up mazda 6s 3.0L v6?

you would need manifolds and all other varieties of plumbing to make it work, as well as fuel control, intercooling....

any turbo can be made to fit almost any engine, its everything to connect it to said engine and tune said engine for it that causes problems and costs alot of money.

hey buit9110, let me know if you want any pointers on the install. we're doing one right now on our car and have run into some novel ideas to save time and money. what are you using for intake and downpipe?

You could use the turbo but you would have to have a custom turbo header. The MS6 is a 4 cylinder.

yeah what he said

So I might as well just forget about any forced induction on this car. I've googled the mazda 6 and everything I found was for the 4 cyl version. One thing about vortec SC but it didn't lead anywhere. It's a shame, this motor has so much more to give. (headshake

if you can give me some pointers, you are more than welcome to do so, I have the atp downpipe and i'm getting the inlet pipe, I'm going to try to modify the aem intake, if not then I'll just use the stock filter.

hold off on getting the inlet pipe, we're working on this same thing today and think there is a better way

there are couple routes you can go. v6 turbo setups have been done before. heck, twin turbo setups have been done before. drop me a PM

You can always go remote mount turbo ... ie, putting the turbo back where the mufflers are. Lots of space, alot less heat, more fabrication.

Boost lag with such set-ups is necessarily huge.

pm intercepted.

Wow that thing has a huge inlet. I had a hard time finding anything that might work. I also have a 4" inlet on my turbo, I'm going to try a 4-3" reducer just to get a smaller pipe for clearance issues. But I' not sure how your set up is so that may not apply to you. Good luck, that turbo looks like it will be fun.

The ATP inlet pipe is a 3" pipe, so the kit comes with a 4"-3" reducer. It really suprised me how large the inlet was of this turbo, but I can't complain, gotta love the velocity stack!
