Finally Got good pics of my car w/ Spool ITS kit

keyserscott

I think both kits are pretty good but i have more experience w/ the spoolin kit and to be honest I think that the begi/fm kit is throwing out the same hp at 8psi intercooled as the spoolin at 4.5 nonintercooled.... but thats my opinion!

oh and a good mechanic would probably charge u a good 1000 - 1700
to install the kit

(lol) The reason I am laughing is because you are new here, this thread is old, and probably don't know that Spool-Turbo went out of business. Welcome to the site!

yeah I would say its just alittle old
my brother dynoed his P5 with the flyin protege kit at about 170whp with about 190tq
you cant buy it through flyin miata anymore, but CaptainKrmP5/ProtegeGarage.com is trying to work out a deal with corky bell to sell the kit

oh ya and Flyin Protege shut down and stopped selling the kit lol. They want to only focus on miata's.. But to my information BEGI now is selling it again. lol I dunno go to both sites and try to figure it out for yourself..

hehe ya the spool kits rocked!!! the FM kits is nice too (that's what I have) - but now it looks like we might just have to chose from wagner and hiboost. Both good kits just smaller turbos :)

the wagner kit come with a t3 super60, i believe that is larger then the FM and spool kits unless special ordered. not by much, but a little bigger

oops my bad.. I'm so bad with the conversions. How do you gauge the difference between the types wagner uses super 60, FM used t303, and then spool used something like "monster 16G" or something. hehe I only know T303, T8, etc..
