Finally dropped no56K

come on man..I still see a tire gap. :(

nice rims! nice drop too!

thanks for posting the pic, at least i'll know what the gap will look like with 16" rims cause i think i'm gonna drop mine soon too.
thats the drop i'm looking for too cause i don't want to go lower cause its gonna scrap my dgm cf lip to f*ck over here in cali! we have monsterous driveway inclines, sometimes they are so steep that even normal family sedans scrape when they come out.

anyways are you running stock struts or tokicos?

Are you referring to the knocking problem that usually comes from the rear right, caused by the strut not having enough thread to tighten the spring? If that's what you're referring to, that only happens with more extreme drops. My springs don't lower enough to come across that problem. if that's not what you're referring to please clarify and i'll try to explain to the best of my knowledge

Oh, I know about that problem. What I was talking about was when people are tightening/loosening the top nut, the whole strut assembly turns with the nut, did you go through this problem? I remember someone saying procedure is a factor in this problem. What was the exact procedure you went through? Ex: 1) loosened Top nut 2) jacked car up 3) disconnected rotor from strut 4) etc..

Thanks, I know it may seen confusing

1.Disconnected everything in the wheel well aka brake line from the strut, endlink and the 2 bolts that attach the strut to the lower arm.
2.Then i disconnected the top nuts while supporing the strut so it doesn't fall out.
3.Compress the spring.
4.Unbolt the 17mm nut at the top of the strut.
5.Take assembly appart.
6.Compress the new spring
7. Position it the right way in the rubber seat.
8.Put the top plate on and then the dish looking washer on top.
9.Put the nut back on

I used an air wrench for unbolting the 17mm nut on the top of the strut. So i didn't have much of the problem you are talking about. But yes when tight enough, by turning a nut the whole strut rod will turn with it. I don't really know a way around that problem.

why is that, Kyle. Those things make me want to puke, and make my eyes tear with blood, or just to put it simply I HATE THEM. They piss me off about as much as a sight of a Hummer wearing the spinnerz on a grocery store's parking lot. That is the reason why our cars have so much emissions junk attached to them...
