for me its my Cowboys of Oklahoma State. super tough defense, and #1 shooting team in the country this year.

also lets keep it civil... I know some people can get very passionate about their teams.

Georgia Tech vs Duke...with Duke winning by 2

i have to go with georgia tech. when they play to their potential they are unstoppable. they beat uconn when they were ranked #1, they beat duke at home to break their 41 game home winning streak, among other huge victories all season. tech has AWESOME defense. and when their offense is on, they are unstoppable. georgia tech has an extremely deep team, with plenty of talent. it's just a matter of them getting it all going at once, but i think they showed a pretty good demonstration of how they can play today against kansas.

oh yeah...and keep in mind that they won their last two games without leading scorer B.J. Elder. that says a lot about the rest of the team.

Been a Ramblin' Wreck fan since I was about 10 years old...My cousin and I always used to pick teams when we'd play sports against each other, and I was a Tech fan. I love seeing them play this well again...hopefully they can stick with it. They might have BJ back by the weekend, so hopefully they can show everyone why they beat UCONN and Duke. That being said...I think they could very well do it again...against UCONN. The way Duke had to battle tonight against Xavier could be bad...UCONN will have an extra day's rest, and they've cruised over everyone they've played.

it was a toss-up for me, i voted for Duke but wanted to vote for UConn .. decisions decisions..

Sorry to break it to you guys, but UCONN is just looking to be unstoppable (yes, that's my school ).
Duhon is looking ok, but the whole Duke showing against Xavier was eh, weak.
UConn is just devastating oponents, and kept Alabama to less than 36% f/g, and that was without Okafor in the 2nd half. Gordon and Anderson have been unstopable during the tournament, as long as they keep that up they will stop Duke. JJ has been iffy with scoring, and UConn's defense has been rock solid and one of the only consistent parts of their game during the season. Duke works on scoring and has been working on D lately. Their scoring will be stopped. If UConn's shooting is on fire like it has been since the start of the Big East tourney to now, UConn is going to the finals.

Final will be GT v UConn

Not a markee finals game as it would be Duke v UConn, but I think people underestimate the gritiness (and scoring ability) of GT.

But, I will say again, UConn's defense has been solid all year long, it will stop any team on the inside and out. If Okafor/vilanueva are inside and healthy, and gordon and anderson are hiting, then goodbye everyone else.
Let's just hope it won't come down to free throws, UConn will sink.

Either UConn or Ok State, I'm also a Maryland fan but there is no way I can pull for Duke....it's just wrong. Georgia Tech won't get past Ok State.

btw...what was your major at tech??? my dad got his masters in electrical engeneering from tech, and i'm hoping to get mine in architecture if all goes well...

i'm definitely nervous about the oklahoma st. game...i'm just hoping that the superb tech defense will slow them down.

All that matters is that a game is 40 minutes long. Calhoun knew that, Krzidisdfiaswi didn't.

Duke and UConn shot about the same % in the first half, around 39, the difference was that UConn turned it over 11 times and Duke capitalized on it. Since they had more shot ops, they scored more. UConn lost the lead, but kept around the same margin when they put Okafor on the bench. I'm sure they would've been able to keep their lead in the first half if Okafor was kept in, but that would just be a risk of not having Okafor towards the end of the game.

Williams and Randolph were kept in and used, they helped Duke get and maintain the lead? yes, but what happened, they lost them both (and then the 3rd stringer at the end) before the 40 minutes were over and now Duke was back at the mercy of Okafor and UConn.

This game was a game of coaching, both teams were playing equally bad and well at times and the officiating sucked equally towards both. UConn has Okafor and Calhoun used his resources well.

On the other hand, I have more respect for GT than I do for Duke

It will be a good game tonight.

yeah...i really though both teams looked pretty crappy. neither one seemed like they could just get it together. and i think coach k made a huge mistake by putting williams back in during the end of the 1st half. the officiating was really getting on my nerves...just let the guys play!!! they would touch each other just barely and get a foul called...the only thing that bothered me was that reddick really did look like he got smashed on that last drive, and we all know reddick would have put in those 2 free throws. i'm not saying that duke necessarily deserved to win the game, but that foul could have made the difference. but, congrats to uconn for pulling it off...i really though duke was going to win.

i'm really excited about the game tonight. a lil nervous though.......
