Feedback on t28 turbo

Im almost getting a t2871r turbo for my msp cause mine is down

Car has 120km and not forged yet

Steedspeed manifold
3 pope dp
3 corksport exhaust -no cat
Fmic mishimoto
Hard pipe
Forge wastegate
Cai corksport
Ss afc
Etc


I was planninh running it around 9 psi

Anyone one try that before is it safe and can i still have a little bit of fun waiting to forge
, or the turbo will be completely sleeping

You will blow up at 9 psi without being forged, I run a gt2860rs at 7psi max but I have every single bolt on and I am unforged but the gt2871 flows more air than the gt2860.

So u would suggest running it at like stock boost ?

Did u have to modified anything when installing your t2860 ?

I had to clock the turbo and modify the wastegate actuator bracket to fit the gt2860rs turbo, but it is actually pretty straight forward install. It still uses the factory t2 flanges, so it pretty much is a straight bolt on. There is a how to on that turbo on the search feature and yes I would run this turbo gt2860rs at 7 psi max with full bolt ons, but to be safer 6 psi wouldn't hurt.

There are many variables, of which the turbo itself is of little importance in regards to "blow[ing] up" the engine...
