Fd wheels on p5

:
Mazda, Protege5
I was looking at buying a set of fd wheels from a buddy of mine, and they are all 16x8. Would I have to use a spacer if I ran those with a 205 or a 215 tire? I have megan racing lowering springs as well.

the spacers are to get the rims to sit flush on the rotors and to clear the strut mounting tab. there is limited clearance on the inside edge to the strut, and the wheels are just that little extra bit to wide. with 3mm spacers and 215/45-16 tires, you will have no issues.

Hey, look at that... I make a sell spacers for our cars (rofl2) But really, if you need any spacers if you buy the FD's, hit me up :)

I ran 6mm spacers with 225/50 tires. (i do not recommend as those are some beef under the wheel well...lol) you will be good with 205 or 215 size tire.

I had given thought to the FDs....love the look and lightweight but there are so few tire options in a 215/45/16.

dunlop direzza z101's (or whatever they are) come in that size, and have been a great tire for me over the past few years - VERY sticky and even decent tread life.
