Fastest Stock Block Msp Period

Lots of speed shops will carry the stuff. around my area i get the 5 gallon barrels of the VP Racing Methanol.

I Dynoed 274hp and 315 tq in my srt with basiclly a downpipe, boost controller, and meth, using an SAFC to tune.

Its incredible stuff, and as stated earlier, has great detonation resistance. I swear by the s*** now, my temp gauge actually starts to drop when i go WOT because of the cooling properties of the mixture.

Damn .... This is definitely sounding like a great addition.

What I don't understand is why not slap on the supporting mods and this? You will definitely have the fastest stock block for sure.

cool I cant wait to see what happens here, I was thinking of doing the same thing before but for now I am going to run nitrous

but I think I will be installing something like this before the end of the summer

they wont be needed. I can currently make more then the motor can take. I have all I need.

Good point. Why not use more supporting mods ... and less meth? Wouldn't that be more reliable?

Where do you get methanol .. may be a silly Q but im... well.. sloe:confused:

I use windsheild washer fluid that costs $1 a gallon from Advance auto.

got a feeling the meth is the reason for the reliability.

i've oft thought of the benifits of methanol injection for my NA build, purely because you can advance the SH!T out of the timing with the stuff....remembering that octane number is a measure of a fuels resistance to detonation...running a 50/50 water/methanol injection setup, you are introducing a very high octane fuel (methanol), along with water which essentially has infinate octane (it wont flash ignite no matter what you do).

The end result is like running the car on race gas. You get cooler combustion temps, more timing with less change of detonation, and as an added bonus, the water/methanol cools the intake charge while it is at it.

I'd say the reason he is able to abuse the stock internals to this degree is that he is eliminating the change of deto almost completely out of the equation...so all thats left to worry about is engine torque tearing the thing to pieces..

My kit > that. You'll save money with the setup I'm selling. Besides, I'm not using brass fittings.
i'm keen to know more - will your kit have circuitry to prevent fault (so if for whatever reason it doesnt start pumping, you can get off whatever you are using to provide assloads of timing to the engine?)? can i get a 12 volt signal off it to tell my microtech that the system is pumping so I can add timing and so on? Could I control it via an output (supply a ground signal to activate it) etc?

I was considering the snow performance kit at one stage, but the add on's i would have needed to make it perform the way I wanted made the whole exercise cost prohibitive.

Wait, you are use winshield washer fluid? I thought with a Meth kit, you had to put Methanol in the tank?? Is it that easy??

Everything seemed to be fine up to when I pulled the manifold. I was leaking from the IM gasket so I pulled the entire system for now and put in 2 used gaskets lol Then my car ran into non stop problems, brakes, hub got bent from too many 3 wheeled turns lol and some other non engine related stuff needed attention so I stopped driving the car for a while. Now I finnally reassembled my car. Had to put in a whole new wheel assembly, wheel bearing, tie rod, ball joint etc. what a waste of money. Stupid car. Currently broke as **** looking at my prized methenol fuel system sitting on my shelf wondering if I can afford the car for another month. I am moving out of my house in 2 weeks so money is rediculously tight. In other words, no progress. Car is pretty much not getting driven, bought a beater mx3 for my GF that I have been cruising lately. Might be getting hired as a mazda tech, applied at 2 dealers still waiting to hear back. Sick of working IT, so much bulls*** and useless people to deal with. Time to start wrenching for cash.

got bored fabbed a new mounting bracket for solenoids as they need to be shielded from engine heat a bit.learned this the fun way. 3rd and final setup coming soon.

Most washer fluids are a 20-30 % methanol/water mixture. So yes, it is that easy. (band)

What? Hubs don't get 'bent" from that. Niether do tierods or ball joints. What did you hit?

Well if you have been doing shop work for at least 2 years (or an apprenticeship....well basically anything you can put on paper that shows you have 2 years experience working with cars...even if it is just oil changes) you could take the ASE tests and that would definately help you get a job.
