Fastest Stock Block Msp Period

ya that would be cool. this thread is kinda pointless without a timeslip, not to mention im no longer running the setup i posted about in this thread, ive redone everything twice now lol ultra megathread coming soon with lots of good pics and video once i get it back from the camera man

thread back from the dead. the motor died about 5 months ago. Never made it to the track. I ran into oil starvation yet again and pulled the motor apart to find yet again the con rods bearings were toast. I dont understand how blkzoomzoom managed to keep oil pressure up during high boost high rpm. The connecting rods did not bend this time which gives me good hope for this new one I swapped in from another pro5. I am starting to know the engine recyclers on a first name basis. Been there 3 times in the last 5 years lol

I put the car back to stock to dyno a new IM I am building (see my other thread) I bought a house 2 days ago so I sort of got side tracked. Ive got a pile of mods to put on the car once I finish testing the new IM on a stock speed. Sitting here like fancy paperweights beside me are a custom FMIC setup, 626IM, new jeffmsp IM, CS SPIPE, new methenol nozzles etc. My insurance expires late october and I am going to be running a beater through the winter this time around so Ive got a month or so to get the car perfect which should not be hard now that I have a garage for all my tools.

So essentially once the temperature outside drops in october and before the insurance runs out I will be going to the track with members of toprotege.com and a tow truck. it will go 12.9 or bust :) Then I can spend the winter putting in a forged motor and take my time with everything. Dont think Im gonna bother putting in another stocker after this one, it feels like I am putting the engine yard guys kids through college right now lol

as for the methenol fuel system I am still confident in the analog controller I built. I have actually been testing the system on a rig I have on my workbench for the past month perfecting the analog tuning with an air compressor and some mock sensor inputs. It works alot better than before (not that it was ever an really a big issue before but it is definitely more accurate now during low throttle, high boost conditions which happen all the time due to the T25R low surge threshold)

so in short, keep waiting cause a vid of 12.9 or a vid of a blown motor is coming soon.

well it wasnt the rods that went this time it was the bearings again (forged wont solve the oil starvation issue) besides a $800 stock motor is nothing, whats a fully built fsde go for? I am scared to even ask ken from PG for a quote with shipping.

and I really wanna see what the stock motor/turbo can hit. When I get the funds for a real oil system a forged motor will be going in with larger hotside etc. but I am more concerned with getting this stock motor ready for late sept, early october and blow it at the track for once rather than the backroads.

checklist of mods for the run:

Fuel System
stock injectors, JoeP FCD, 4 methenol nozzles, 4 solenoids, dedicated methenol fuel rail with feeds from both ends, 250psi methenol pump, analog controller for methenol system (digital made no real diff but was fun to build but since the meth only activates during high airflow their really isnt much point)

Cold Side
Stock Intake and Box with KandN filter, cold air extension in place of callaway elbow
Custom FMIC setup painted black with proper IC paint
Clocked MSP turbo
JeffMSP Intake Manifold

Hotside
Ported MSP exhaust manifold
Corksport S pipe
2.5" Jpipe custom
3" midpipe custom
3" electronic exhaust cutout just before stock axle back

Fuel

94 Sunoco Pump gas
Methenol for secondary system (not good for injector o-rings btw I change mine once a year now)

Extras
Relocated (Centered) stock radiator
All mounts changed for AWR/Medieval
Luck..

Cost: well under $1500 + my time.

Damn. All I had was my home ported intake, homemade co2 sprayer, boost controller, fcd, homemade exhaust, 26x9 slicks, and a couple other things.
Oh, and a spare motor sitting at work... lol

still cant figure out how you didnt detonate running over 12psi on stock injectors, for me the afr leans out violently and starts to ping for me over 12psi running the maf voltage as high as I can keep it with the fcd without hitting fuel cut, dont know how you did it on 4x280cc. thats why i have the meth kit on top.

guess im still learning (smash)(smash)(smash)(uhm)

are you using alky or meth? Meths the only reason you can run that much psi, it lowers knock and reduces the temp of incoming air by a ton. What size nozzles are you using 3's? im using a single 10 on mine but i have the gt28rs runnind 12 psi no problem.

ive been experimenting with different sized nozzles for a few years now, if you look on the first page you can see how I rigged 4 nozzles. I changed the fuel rail so that it feeds from both sides. Ive upgraded to a 250psi pump that is designed to handle pure methenol same with all fittings and lines. I run 50/50mix water/meth on low boost, pretty much all meth high boost.

what we got a war going on here. So who was or is, the fastest stock block msp?
blkzoomzoom is still the king as I cant seem to keep a high boost setup alive long enough to make it to the track.

definitely an interested thread.

thanks thats what i was going for :) have you made it out to a track in spain? Im sure with your engine power numbers your could embarrass pretty much everyone on the board here lol
