yeah i hear ya, that was my biggest problem coming out of college....everyone is like "well we are looking for someone with a year or two experience" ... I got that s*** everywhere I went...it took me at 4-5 months to get a decent job after graduation

What? Hubs don't get 'bent" from that. Niether do tierods or ball joints. What did you hit?

Balljoint boot got torn so the balljoint got screwed after 50,xxxkms with a bad boot. Tie rod end got stripped so I had to replace. I have hit nothing, the only thing I can attribute the hub getting worn out from is the aggressive driving I do. Basically only one of the bearings in the wheel bearing was getting all the weight of the car as part of the hub was worn a few thousanths of an inch.

Just seemed odd to me. 126,000 miles and 4 years of racing on R'comp tires for me and no problems.

120,000kms of driving with sticky rubber on back roads. All other bearings seem fine. i think I sorta crushed the bearing a bit which caused the hub the get worn on one side. When i went to replace I thought man thats alot of play once i had the new bearing on, but i threw the assembly back on the car anyways as I am not a fan of walking home from work. 2 days later new bearing was shot. bought a 3rd bearing and a micrometer. Pulled assembly again and measured hub, spot where it would contact inner bearing was worn a few thousanths of an in. Went to yard that I got my "new" motor from and pulled a "new" assembly. even came with a spare abs sensor. my car has more protege5 then msp in it now lol

New pics of meth setup coming soon, I redid alot of the install just need to find a way to upload new pics.

If you still have the stock motor with stock oil pan after 126kms of turning you aint turning hard enough lol well not hard enough to starve the pump anyways ;) JK

well looks like I got a job for erin mills mazda. hopefully i will be able to finish the install in their shop soon and not have the work on my driveway, will be nice to have a lift :)

i think we need MPI Nick to rebuild you turbo. I have a NA manifold at my house we could slap on your car while it is with him. Nothing like a nice downgrade to make you appreciate how fun the car while be when the snail gets back.

trust me, Justin hits the turns hard enough. He travels down here for some of our Autoxs and he beats the s*** out of FSP, putting down better times than most of the higher classes too. He is an amazing racer.

On side of that I am going with Meth inj after about a year and a half of debate and planning. Megasquit controlled.

I honestly feel that meth injection is huge for these engines. I will hopefully be running meth injection after I finish with all the bolt ons so I won't be entirely reliant on meth for meet my goals.

Not to mention stock appearing hehehe

stock intake
stock pipes
stock muffler
stock unflashed ECU
stock intake manifold (minus VTCS and some porting)
stock exhaust manifold (minus some light porting)
STOCK FUEL INJECTORS
100% STOCK INTERNALS

JoeP MBC @ 16+psi
JoeP FCD keeping maf at 4.9v WOT

here is your hint for the final mod:

Dyno #s, track times, kill list and finished install pics coming soon.

Walked an STI lasted night by over at least 5 car lengths from a roll at 14psi. Guy could not believe it when I popped my hood after. Whats wrong buddy, its stock..hehehe

Hopefully the stock rods in this motor will last long enough for me to get a aftermarket set of rods in my spare motor. If I am lucky I should get 50,000+KMs out of this one.

Stock MSP FTW 12.X qm here I come. Not to mention well under $1000 in mods..this is backyard engineering at its finest boys. For less then the price of a FMIC I have a 13.x MSP stock appearing, once I get some good rubber Im going for 12s. Makes ya wonder why ya spend so much on aftermarket parts dont it hehe (flame2)

yeah, can't see the mods,so you don't know what your up againshence pinks).but i think we can all agree that some porting wont hurt anything at all.post t he head next, unless you're gonna buils up the short block for some monster boost.but for what you've done, that thing moves

what the F?

this thread can die anyways. I have an ULTRA SUPER MEGA thread ive been writing about methenol injection and max power on the stock block. I have been writing it for 2 weeks and its all about my experiences with the individual port setup and high boost tuning. When I get pics and video finished I will post up for all to see, hopefully with a nice 12.9 timeslip or pictures of a blown motor :) It is really long though, like a chapter from a book or something lol will be worth waiting for ;)
