Factory Stereo/speaker Problems

Hi I'm new here and I just had a few questions.

My 2004 Mazda 6 with non-Bose speakers cut out with a small pop about a week ago. I wasn't blasting them or anything. I do have a sub, and the amp still worked(turned on). Until this morning everything on the stereo worked. As in I could see the time and could surf through channels etc. Now the whole stereo doesn't turn on. I bought it used and didn't receive an owners manual but all I found online was an owners manual that labeled 2 fuses that had to do with car audio. I checked both and they seemed fine.

From my understanding, 2006 mazda 6's without bose stereo systems DO NOT have a factory amp. is that correct? Because I swear I've seen that they do and they don't online, but I just cant figure it out. At first when my audio cut out, I figured that the factory amp blew a fuse or something. But now the whole head unit doesn't work so I'm pretty confused.

TL;DR
Speakers cut out, then stereo won't turn on.

I'm wondering if there is a "more complete" list of fuses for my car. The one in the owners manual doesn't seem to label them all.

Any help on this would be much appreciated. Also if I can't fix this problem myself, would you take it to the mazda dealer or a car audio place? THANKS :D

there should be two places where fuses are in your car....one to the left of the brake (if standard) or to the left of the clutch (manual) just look down and left when your sitting in the driver seat, and another set of fuses under the hood, i just got my mazda6 so i dnt know exactly which area but theres usually another box under the hood near the battery somewhere. now under the fuse box covers theres icons thats symbols lights, air, horn, cigarette lighter etc. Then theres one or two that may have a symbol of a speaker or a music symbol....check those and see if it blew

if that doesnt work depending who installed it, it may be wiring behind the stereo thats loose or something, good luck.

mazda 6 right speaker problems

Hi,
I'm new to this forum stuff, and new to owning a mazda. I recently bought a mazda 6 2004 luxury model with the bose stereo. After only 2 days of owning it the right hand front and back speakers have stopped working. At first they would just turn off and then back on. now they have stopped working and sometimes make a crackle noise. I'm not sure if its a wiring problem or if the speakers need replacing? can anyone please help

Thanks
