I have 16,000 miles on my '07 AWD Sport... How long will the factory Goodyear Eagle RS-A Tires last? I have heard they are pretty poor... Mine are looking worn out, but I hope I can last the winter!

eagle rs-a's are the worst tire i have ever owned. they were on my cavalier
Z-24..my Bonneville and a few others...they were horrible. BE CAREFUL

Horrible tire if you riding alone well good luck, if you have a wife and kids that use the vehicle CHANGE the tires thats all i can say they suck.

Eagle RS-A aren't THAT BAD! I never had a problem with mine. I had them until about 36K miles and replaced them before the tread became an issue. Keep in mind that RS-A are high performance tires, made of softer compounds, they wear out faster and simply don't last as long.

Vince.

had a set them on my other car couln't wait get them off goodyears 4 me no more poor wear an very noisy tire

yes, i know they are softer, but high performance my ass. These tires do not do anything particulary well. Dry road traction, in the rain absolutely horrible-snow-horrible....these tires are just there.

If RS-A re high performance then WOW, sure hell of a difference betwen them and my PIrelli Scorpion Zero's, they are a poor tire and their rating has proved themselfs over and over, i bought my car in July and first snow we got was october and 3 hours later i was sporting new tires.

My tires look to still have plenty of tread on them... I'll check and update everyone... Thanks for the information!

I seen worst tires let's put it that way. In the rain these tires SUCK!
Someone said death trap during winter they got that right.

Are you driving w/ proper inflation? We have 19k on our FWD and the tires still look great. I have mine set at 35psi. There are no uneven wear issues to report of.

I checked inflation about 2 weeks ago: I keep my tires harder for better mpg on lots of highway driving, I believe it was around 38 to 40 psi.

Personally, I have plenty of tread left at 16,000 miles, but I heard rumor of some tires dying out at 15,000.... Mine still look okay....

edit: I also rotated them at 10,000 according to the owner's manual.

I am a former 6 year employee of Goodyear and I have to admit the RSA is one of the worst tires in the history of the world

Im not allowed to show my allegience on this site but European companies make the best products in the tire industry, especially with respect to Winter tires

i had mine for 46k kms... but i say about 5-10k of it is with winter tires on...
treads are wearing out, but still good for end of this season.. prob will have to get a new set of something for spring time though...

You guys must really drive hard...I haven't even rotated mine yet! Of all the cars I've ever owned, the only car / tire combo I ever had trouble w/ was my 1992 SHO Taurus. That car had Eagles on it too. I went through tires every 16k miles or so. It was insanity.
