all it is is a Thule rack with mazda badges on it.

actually, it does look very similar except for color

Well, OEM Mazda site says the rack costs $425 (I don't think it includes locks and are SQUARE cross bars)
Dealer website for parts/discounted: $350 http://www.trademotion.com/partloca...&subcat1=148452&subcat2=148453&subcat3=148456
Thule site (square cross bars w/o locks): $300
Thule site (Aero/oval cross bars w/o locks): $355

Thule SKS locks (4 pack): $55

So the Thule products are way cheaper. That's why I wanted to know who are the OEM makers of the Mazda rack...
