Extended studs for Mazda2

I moved this over to the Mazda2 section.

To answer your question, I would say yes they will work. I'm not 100% positive but I believe Mazda uses the same studs on all their cars. BTW ARP is a good brand for long wheel studs (2thumbs)

Hopefully someone else can confirm this 100%.

Are you looking for front studs?

The "correct" stud from ARP is for the REAR of a 1.8L (94-05) miata (the 1.6L uses the same smaller stud front/rear). Part # is 100-7720.

Nowhere online listed any extended studs for the 2 so I ordered a set for the earlier Miatas and they were way too small in diameter, the 1.8L REAR stud fits on the FRONT of the 2. I have not explored the rear, as I didn't need extended studs. I was running 15x9 +36 6UL wheels with a .25" spacer to clear the strut.

If you order front studs from the dealer, they are incorrect. I ordered one, and also one for a 91 miata (front). Much to my surprise, they were identical. But had different part numbers. I ordered front ARP studs for a miata.
When I had time I popped out a stud... totally wrong size!! OEM 2 front stud at the serrated diameter was .572". The stud the dealer ordered was .506". This won't work at all!

The dealer has the wrong part # in their system for our studs because the one I got and the one I pressed out of my 2011 2 did not match.

If you'd like to match up your protege studs, you'll need the serrated part to be .579"

The correct stud from ARP is for the REAR of a 1.8L miata (the 1.6L uses the same smaller stud front/rear): 2.75" long, .579" diameter.

You're welcome!

If/when you find out what fits the rear, please post it in here :)

Well talking to Emilio at 949 Racing , he recommended to buy a rear bolt and measure it. So far I found the part # D65133062

Now who's going to get it first? ;) just $7.17

The front one part #: D65233062

^For stock studs you mean? I don't know if that front # is the same one my dealer gave me (because I returned the stud), but it was 100% wrong and would not fit my 2....... despite what the parts computer said.

Just picked up the rear one, part # D651-33-062 , hope I don't have the same problem that you had. I was trying not have to remove one out of my car.

Have not measure it yet.

The studs don't matchup cause Mazda changed the stud in the 2. Went to the dealership to have mine replaced over the weekend.
I don't recall them telling me what stud they used but I do know it was a Mazda part. So one of Mazda models DOES fit the front.
