Exhaust Question?

New to the MSP scene and am looking for a cat back exhaust, the problem is I am having trouble finding them for the msp. (for a reasonable price that is) Would the cat back systems from an MP3/MP5 etc work on my MSP?

No they wouldn't The length of the two is different. You would have to cut the axleback in some place to extend it a couple of inches. I guess technically you could run the exhaust but it would be hidden away a few inches behind your bumper... Check out protege garage, corksport and speedcircuit. They all specialize in mazdas and you'll be able to find the exhausts you're looking for with them.

^What he said. You could use a P5 catback and all of it would fit except the muffler (axleback).

best way to get one for cheep is to make one yourself of find a shop that does them.

Well i have a custom axel back already made. So i may look into the P5 piping.

alot of ppl run the vibrant, its a good quality exhaust, 3" and has a nice tone to it. i used to have it, but it got damaged.

also corksport is making a exhaust for our car and they are saying it will roughly be 450 for it. it will be 80mm which is about 3"s

Also i will have a 3" mid pipe that i will be selling soon, it will hook right up to the S-Pipe and will hook up to any catback.

You could also go with the OBX catback and sell the axleback to get some money back. I think it runs for about 250 shipped on ebay and it's said to not be bad quality.... just a thought.

Does anyone know much about Magnaflow exhausts for our cars? What HP gain would I be looking at roughly for any exhaust for that matter?

dude i had a catback made for 60 bucks at a exhaust shop...i brought my corksport muffler up there and he did it back to the catless midpipe...
