Exhaust question

:
2003 MazdaSpeed Protege
Hi all, I have a question about a possible exhaust upgrade. I still have the stock exhaust from my MSP, and was wondering if it would fit on my dad's Protege5. It would be a fun present to him if it is an easy thing to have changed out. I haven't looked under my dads P5 to see if the exhaust is run the same way. Since they are both proteges, I would figure it would be the same, just wondering if anyone has done this, or know if it would work. Thanks

if im not mistaken i believe the exhust's on each car are set up differently

No it'll fit, but it'll have to be cut down a few inches. the P5 is about 5 inches shorter than the sedan. I'm running a Mazdaspeed axleback on my p5 right now.

well, in retrospect, you half right. there are some differences between the sedan and hatchback, but for the most part, the systems are interchangeable~with modification.

Both exhaust systems are the same. Just change the axleback portion. Dont even bother changing the rest, its the same. You need to get it cut a few inches shorter cause it will stick out 2-3 inches past the bumper.
