servoeyes said:When did you buy it? If it was before the 12th, he's full of poop! They didn't get the flash until then, and even then, it took them all day (if they could) to do the updates. Then they'd have to do every car in the lot, which could take several days. So...anytime before the 12th-15th of September and it's a possiblity that there was no flash done to your car. You can even show him the email at the beginning of this thread form the Mazda OBD-II engineer, which dealerships around the country should have gotten Friday morning. If they flashed your car before that, they didn't have the right flash (or really, any at all!)

Before the flash, if I was in any gear besides 5th, and let off the throttle quickly, the whole car would lurch. Now, it's much smoother.
servoeyes said:I doubt it. They should be able to check what calibration number is on it, like a bios I'd assume. Hopefully a dealship will be good enough to do that for you. It should only take them a minute of so to put it on the machine and check the PCM's ID number. If you're right and they didn't flash it then they would have to do it anyway. If they're telling the truth and did flash it, then it should be as simple as proving to the customer that work you promised done on his car has been completed. However, I would check your car to see if there are any stickers on it that state that the flash has been done it. Otherwise...just have them check for you, in front of you, so that you can check what PCM code comes up.

That's even after passing them the info from here.
I'm still trying. They are fixated on saying they can't just update the wds to 24.7 onine, and have to wait for a cd for that, AND wait for a cd for the fix...arg. They don't know wtf to do but they are pretty persistant so I'm sure with time they'll figure it out.

I haven't driven it yet but am tingling with anticipation (or something like that)... I hate that a lot of you guys have had probs with your dealers, I guess I've been really fortunate so far (in Va Beach and here in Knoxville)
