Ok,

I have a case open with mazda usa about my brakes grinding even after they replaced my rotors and pads about 10k miles ago. The regional manager doesn't want to replace my rotors again because he already did. I'm not taking that s***. I payed for a car that doesn't work right! I know that other's have had or are having the same problem. I think there's a deeper problem here and we need to prove that to mazda so they can maybe do a recall or a TSB. So all the people with this problem post your info here and if you have time take the car to your dealer so we can get this document in mazda's database. I know I'm not going to let this slide atleast for my car.

Thanks.

Are your wheel bearings ok? I was having grinding from one of my wheel bearings going out.

my brakes are doing the same thing but with out the grinding sound. and the brakes are grabing when i come to a stop and its realy pissing me off, i got new pads waiting to be put on, but i got to have the rotors checked before.

0 work done before.

Mine grinds/gurgles when light pressure is applied to the brake pedal under about 15mph.
same here...i thought everyone concluded this was an easy fix..not a rotor/pad problem?

mine grind. but i plan on just replaceing the rotors. its a nasty sound. it happens under 10 miles per hour. I just thought my pads & rotors were shot. now im not so sure. im doing research into this now. thanks

many people seem to have this brake noise at slow braking, but mine feel fine and brake fine...they just make that annoying sound. our rotors and pads shouldn't be crapping at this quick unless you pound on them all the time, which i don't..

Mine hesitate almost like they are grabing and then letting go, to the point where I don't have confidence that I am going to stop without hitting someone and I usually brake pretty early b.c of this . I also have the gurgling noise and grinding and pulsation. I have been to the dealer 2 times already about this problem.

From the work orders at the dealership
---------------------------------------
Feb 26, 04 12302 miles

Customer states- Check for pulsation when coming to a stop
s18 Found front rotors out of parallel causing brake judder- Machined Front Rotors

--------------------------------------
April 12, 04 18852 miles

Customer States - Check for brake pulsation
RRV Found front rotours out of parallel causing brake judder- machined front rotors - Brake pads recommended- Customer declined

-----------------------------------
I now have the same thing and I'm about 1500 miles and 10 days since the last time they were machined. I told them both times about the gurgling but they didn't say anything about it. The pads appear to have a lot of life left in them and they aren't sqeeling yet. I am unsure if I should order new pads or not b.c I don't want to waste money on them if the rotors are causing problems. And no I don't race my car and I am not hard on the brakes. I asked about pad life and they told me that average is around 20k for an MSP. But I dont' know if thats true or not.

yeah when i went in for 15k checkup, they said i had like 50% left on the pads, and didnt notice any problems w/ the rotors..so i dont know what the heck is up. but the sound is really getting annoying. the brakes only make the noise after they've heated up a bit...
like in the morning for the first few minutes, u cant hear anything from the brakes, but as soon as they've heated up a bit, the damn scatching/gurgling sound comes every damn time i brake under 10 mph...it sucks.

same problem, but im done dealing with those bastards

im putting 300zx 4 piston brakes on the car

i would if i had the money...but i just splashed on a greddy profec b spec II...

yeah, my breaks hesitate, and i've had the grinding 2 times, when i hit the breaks really really hard. Its done it since 2,000 miles on my car, i've had 24,000 right now. I took it to my own mechanic because mazda is no help what so ever with this car.....and frankly i'm sick of dealing with them if I dont' have to. So anyways, i've noticed that i washed my car after this started, and it didn't do it bad at all. Then after about 10 stops it starts again. but everytime i was the car and spray rim cleaner on the breaks, it goes away for a little while, maybe lucky if i drive an hour and it doesn't come back. My Mechanic said that all the parts in my break system including pads seem to look like there is no problem. Mazda should do something about this cause i'm sure resurfacing and replace brakes etc...is gonna have the same effect.

well if u slam on the brakes hard, the abs is gonna kick in. the noises i get are from really slow braking, under 10mph usually...
