I have a euro CX-7 that needs to be reflashed. I've read the ECU, checked the ownership and VIN plate and the VIN is correct! The VIN is encoded with ISO 3779 which does not follow the same format as the North American models. Does anyone have documentation from Mazda that explains how to decode these VIN numbers? I don't want to disable VIN validation but it is impossible to validate the check digit on an ISO3779 because there isn't one!
