Euro Headlights for a 2016 Mazda CX5 GT

Hey All, i am in need of some help

I've recently moved from Canada to Germany and have brought over my 2016 CX5 GT. I've been trying to source some used European headlights as it appears that nobody in Germany has a datasheet on the NA ones I currently have to get past the TUV inspection, so they must be replaced.

From my research the headlights i believe i should be looking for are model #
KA1L-51-041 / KA1L-51-31
however my search online i can't find a used set with this part #

I've been able to find many used KA1L-51-030/040. But am unable to find any information on these head lights. I've asked a few local dealers for details on this model # but they've been unable to provide any details.

Can anyone on here confirm that model # KA1L-51-030/040 would work with my vehicle and would have the adaptive light control?

Does your North American 2016 CX-5 GT have optional Technology Package, meaning LED headlights?

after some more searching... I think i see what you mean yrwei52

the difference between 40/41 or 30/31 at the end of the part number seems to relate to if its a factory part or a replacement part.

KA1L-51 would be the light with the adaptive high beam control, which my model doesn't support.

my new assumption now would be that my direct replacement would be the KA1F-50-30/40. Can anyone sanity check me on this before i order a set?

The part numbers for LED headlights with AFS on US 2016 CX-5 are KA0G-51-041J (L) and KA0G-51-031J (R). Your research on the same LED headlights for EU 2016 CX-5 will have part numbers KA1L-51-041 (L) and KA1L-51-031 (R). I did find these part numbers, KA1L-51-041C (L) and KA1L-51–031D (R), at partsouq.com which is an auto parts distributor in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. Of course those new LED headlights are over $1.200 USD a piece.

Once there’s a member here took his US 2016 CX-5 to Netherlands and he had no problem using US LED headlights passing the local certification. The only thing he needed to add is the rear fog light. Later he even imported a brand new gen-2 from US without any problems on LED headlights either. But he’s with military so his car could have some privileges and exemptions for EU certification.

Check Fred1970’s posts here replacing his LED headlights in Netherlands:

Daytime running lights dim/flickering

You can also do a search for few posts by Fred1970. He seems to be able to find used LED headlight, KA1F-51-040C, for about $100 USD. But remember you do want to find newer “H” or “J” version or the LED Signature DRLs could fail anytime.

it depends on the country in Eu as well. Some are more strict than others. I have access to the eu mazda parts catalog for 2016 cx5 , if that helps I could take a look for part no. ,let me know.
Also if you dont insist on oem there are some chinese aftermarket options. Another option is from a salvage yard or ebay de once you get the right part numbers.
What I dont know is if the lamps sockets/plugs for the wiring would be the same though.
